Russell Wilson and Bill Belichick: A Match Made In Heaven

It has been a crazy month so far in the NFL with many coaches being relieved of their duties and teams are looking towards the future. But two future Hall-Of-Famers are set to leave their current team as New England's Bill Belichick parted ways with the team last week and quarterback Russell Wilson is expected to be released from the Denver Broncos this off-season. But with Belichick interviewing with the Atlanta Falcons, who have a great defense but a struggling offense at quarterback, could Russell Wilson and Belichick team up in the ATL?

Russell Wilson Would Boost The Falcons Offense

While Wilson hasn't been the elite quarterback as in past years, he still has a lot of football left in him. He is a scrambler quarterback, which would fit well in Atlanta's offense even though the Desmond Ridder experiment was not successful. With weapons in receiver Drake London, running back Bijan Robinson, and tight end Kyle Pitts, Wilson would have plenty of options around him as well as Belichick, who unlike Arthur Smith, would use them right.

Bill Belichick Brings A Lot Of Experience To Falcons Defense

Meanwhile for Belichick, he has not had much success since Tom Brady left the team in 2020. As GM, his roster has had a lack of talent for a while and some picks have struggled to pan out. This would be Bill's best roster he has had in years, and there's so much potential. He's coaching could lead the defense to be Top Five in the NFL, in a wide-open division. Team owner Arthur Blank is desperate to win now and with two Hall-Of-Famers leading the way, Atlanta could be division champs and make a deep playoff run next year.
