NFL Superstar Makes A Decision On His Football Career
The National Football League has seen many superstars throughout the league's history. From Joe Montana and Steve Young, to John Elway and Peyton Manning, and now Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow. But one of the most underrated quarterbacks to ever play football has made his decision on whether he will return on the field.

Matt Ryan Has No Plans To Return To Football
Former Atlanta Falcons' quarterback Matt Ryan joined CBS Sports in 2023 after opting not to sign with another NFL team after his release from the Indianapolis Colts. While he didn't officially retire, it seemed likely that he would not sign with a team this season.
Now Ryan has confirmed that during the injury-riddled season, many teams gave him a call to play for them, but he stayed put at CBS. Ryan says he is really enjoying working for CBS and he's not in a rush to get back on the field.
In a season where superstar quarterbacks including Joe Burrow, Aaron Rodgers, Justin Herbert and Kirk Cousins suffered season-ending injuries, many teams called Ryan to step in and save the season. But with Ryan staying put, could that mean his NFL career is officially over? If so, Ryan had a great career that could lead to a gold jacket.
A Great NFL Career For Matt Ryan
Matt Ryan played in the NFL from 2008-2022 playing 14 seasons for the Atlanta Falcons before finishing his final season in Indianapolis. The former Boston College standout threw for 62,792 yards along with 381 touchdowns and a 93.6 passer rating. He won NFL MVP in 2016 and led the Atlanta Falcons to Super Bowl LI, where the team fell to the New England Patriots 34-28 in overtime.
Meanwhile the Atlanta Falcons are still looking for their next franchise quarterback after Ryan's departure, while the Indianapolis Colts have very likely found a superstar in young quarterback Anthony Richardson.
