The NFL Preseason is about to start for the NFL in a few weeks, there are questions that follow each team in the league. Throughout the build up to the season it’s best to ask the Top 5 questions on the mind for everyone Team. With The Titans getting the 1st pick in the draft they will start and as always this team is a very weird team heading into the season. So here are the Top 5 Questions for the Tennessee Titans.

1. Can Cam Ward Make An Immediate Impact?

One of the obvious problems with the Titans’ last season was below-average QB play. Luckily for the franchise, their awful season secured the 1st overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, and it was used to select Cam Ward, who was the only QB that should have been taken in round 1. Yes, Jaxon Dart was also drafted in round one, but many considered him a 2nd/3rd round prospect in this draft class. The Titans getting Cam Ward is a good get, as he is the future, but can he make an impact immediately?

After all, prospects usually take 2-3 years to develop in the NFL, unless players don’t have their head in check like Isaiah Wilson. Could Ward make an impact immediately, or will he be a late bloomer type player? Only time will tell, but Tennessee will have that answer this year as Will Levis, their starting QB last year, is out for the season due to undergoing shoulder surgery.

2. Are You Going To Cut Treylon Burks Now?

Treylon Burks Training Camp

The biggest mistake that this franchise ever made the past few years was trading AJ Brown to the Eagles. They should have signed him to an extension, and because they didn’t, that set the team back years. In that trade, the Titans got the opportunity to draft Treylon Burks. Coming into the draft, he had promise, but he has not lived up to expectations at all since joining the NFL. A significant reason is injuries, and even when healthy, Burks has not yet adapted to the NFL level. It just isn’t working, and he’s pretty much a dead man walking on this roster. He has been pushed so far down the depth charts that many thought he was already released from the team. It’s time for the Titans to move on from Burks, as it’s hard to see a role for him on this team.

3. Can This Titans O-Line Build Better Chemistry?

JC Latham – Tennessee Titans

The Titans’ offensive line was very lackluster last season, and no matter who was at QB, they were constantly pressured the majority of the game. One of the main goals in the offseason was to bolster the offensive line and provide protection to the quarterback. So, the Titans made notable additions by signing Kevin Zeitler, Andrew Rupcich, drafting Jackson Slater in round 5, and overpaying for Dan Moore. Look, Moore is a good blocker, but signing him to a 4-year deal worth 82 million dollars, where 50 million is guaranteed, is a bit much. At least JC Latham goes back to right tackle, like he played a majority of his college career.

The Titans making additions on the o-line on paper is a good idea, but can they build chemistry? Last year was an example of the o-line not building chemistry, and if the Titans can’t improve upon that, then the Titans will have to yet again start from scratch fixing the o-line.

4. Which L’Jarius Sneed Will The Titans Get?

L’Jarius Sneed Tennessee Titans

One of the big disappointments last season was how L’Jarius Sneed played in his first season with the Titans. He was expected to be the big piece acquired in the offseason that would help improve the secondary of the defense. Well, it has not been planned out at all and arguably has been the worst transaction made in free agency last year. Not only was Sneed derailed by injuries, but even when healthy, he was a liability in the secondary. Entering his second year, there is a ton of unknowns surrounding Sneed, and which player is going to get it. Are the Titans going to get the shutdown corner he was in Kansas City, the liability he was when on the field, or constantly injured this year? When looking at it today, Sneed’s contract is the worst one on the team, and it’s not close.

5. Why Is Brian Callahan Still Here Again?

Tennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan speaks before minicamp practice at Ascension Saint Thomas Sports Park in Nashville, Tenn., Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

This is a question that has been asked since January, when the Titans made the puzzling decision to fire GM Ran Carthon after two seasons. When Callahan came into coach the Titans last season, he got the “offensive guru” label placed on him. Well, after last season, the only guru he showed was poor playcalling and adjustments. Heck, the team quit on him last season, and it’s hard to see where Callahan fits into all of this.

Also, analysts need to stop with the ridiculous claims that he had nothing to work with this season. Oh really, Tony Pollard and Calvin Ridley were on the team last year and are very talented. Heck, the Titans even had DeAndre Hopkins on the roster, too. Yes, Will Levis and Mason Rudolph were very lackluster at QB, but the team still had solid talent.

If they were going to fire the GM, why not get rid of the coach who is way over his head in this role and not buffer Cam Ward’s development? This needs an answer because it makes zero sense why Callahan is still around. If he has another bad season as the head coach, then the Titans will have a new coach next season.
