This week’s edition of Monday Night Raw brought the WWE Universe another The Last Time Is Now Tournament update. With the semi-finals on the card, the finals were set by the end of the night. The matches were LA Knight versus Jey Uso and Gunther versus Solo Sikoa. Who made it one step closer to the prize of retiring the legendary John Cena? One of the finalists may come as a shock, while the other has been expected throughout.

The Last Time Is Now Tournament Update

The first semi-finals match of the evening may have been the biggest surprise for any The Last Time Is Now Tournament update. WWE missed an opportunity for a more interesting finish, but Knight pulled out the unexpected victory with a roll-up pin. Unclear to this point what it’s leading to, Uso wrecked everything at ringside in a fit of rage after the loss. Is this a heel turn, or perhaps it’s time to drop the ‘Yeet’?

Knight defeated the nostalgic surprise return of Zach Ryder in the first round. Knight was scheduled to take on the winner of Sheamus versus Shinsuke Nakamura before an injury threw a wrench into the plans. After picking up a win, The Celtic Warrior was forced to withdraw from the tournament due to injury. The Miz weaseled his way into taking that spot, getting to job for The Megastar.

Gunther did an excellent job on the other side of the bracket, putting over newer talent in his first two wins. After putting on a show with Je’Von Evans, The Ring General defeated Carmellow Hayes to earn the match with Sikoa on Raw.
