The Street Profits, #DIY, and the Motor City Machine Guns took to the ring this last Friday on WWE‘s SmackDown. The rules are simple: Anythng may be used alongside the tables, chairs, and ladders during the match. Street Profits star Montez Ford took this to a whole new level on April 25 after a fan from the front of the crowd excitedly shouted to him, “Use my leg!”
Yes, really. You read that right. The fan in question had their detached prosthetic leg in their hand, shoe and all, holding it up excitedly. Ford, unable to pass up such an opportunity, grabbed the fan’s limb and used it to lay two hits to his opponent, tag team #DIY star Johnny Gargano. Ford then tossed it back to the fan as the fans erupted with incredulous laughs and excitable cheers.
The absurd display was not for nothing though. Ford and his Street Profits partner, Angelo Dawkins, came out victorious after he brought #DIY members Gargano and Chris Sabin down to the ground. They were attempting to snag the belts at the top of the ladder as the titles hung down from the rafters. They knocked them off in a surprise attack from the other side. Ford then pulled down the titles, getting a win for the Street Profits and making them WWE Tag Team champs again.
After the fan, who was recording the interaction with their leg, posted the video to X, Ford later quote tweeted it, cheekily responding, “Thanks for the assist! Gave us a Leg Up on the competition!”
The Street Profits have now held the tag team championship title four times, as well as being the second Tag Team Triple Crown Champions after The Revival, consisting of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder. With such success, one can only wonder who will step up to the Street Profits next.
