These latest WWE Raw results are from the highly anticipated stop in Mexico City. “The Young OG” Je’Von Evans and the debuting Lola Vice won their Money in the Bank qualifying matches, while luchadores Dragon Lee and Penta both had title opportunities. This is a complete recap from the September 14, 2026 episode.
WWE Hall of Famer and AAA general manager Rey Mysterio opened the special stop in Mexico by joining Raw general manager Adam Pearce in the ring. They called out the new WWE Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer, who won the title from Liv Morgan in a shocker during their world tour over the weekend. Morgan quickly interrupted them, accompanied by “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio. After some dialogue, Dominik challenged them to a mixed-tag match, even with Rey clearly in a neck brace.
Having just won the AAA Mega Championship from Dominik, El Grande Americano appeared to take Rey’s place. Just as it seemed Vaquer and Americano had the win in hand, the rest of Judgment Day (J.D. McDonagh, “The Prodigy” Roxanne Perez, and WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Raquel Rodriguez) showed up to crash the party.
The referee called the match off as Judgment Day took out everybody in sight. Americano put up a valiant fight, but it wasn’t meant to be. Dominik and Morgan held their former championships over their heads as they hovered over the rightful owners.
The next match was a Money in the Bank ladder match qualifier featuring Evans, one-half of the WWE World Tag Team Champions Austin Theory, and Big Cass. The trio did well to avoid having one man on the outside while two brawled; instead, they kept the action moving with everyone involved. Evans’ third attempt at his OG Cutter finally landed on Cass, leading to the pinfall finish.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Chad Gable had a title defense against Lee. This match was a masterpiece, with stiff striking, elite reversals, and dramatic near falls. Furthermore, the cardio to keep up the pace they used was unbelievable. They even ramped up the intensity of Gable’s ankle lock finisher, with Lee landing genuine boots to the eye before tapping out.
Rodriguez, NXT Women’s Champion Kalani Jordan, and Vice faced off in a women’s Money in the Bank qualifying match. The women’s IC champ’s strength and ring IQ stood out, as she slammed, pulled, and caught the other two all over the ring. Jordan looked athletic in her debut, while the third came across as an underdressed Mortal Kombat character.
Jordan took a boot from Rodriguez, aimed at their competitor. Vice took the opportunity to roll up the veteran to advance to Money in the Bank. It’s an odd booking to see a champion forced to take a pinfall, but nonetheless.
After winning an eight-man tournament, Penta earned a shot at Roman Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The electric crowd was booming throughout the extended championship introductions, and blew the roof off at the opening collar-and-elbow. This may be a hot take, but the challenger’s pure wrestling abilities shone a light on Reigns’ vanilla move set, and typically more theatrical matches.
Penta hit his Sacrifice arm breaker, forcing Reigns to work an injury from about the midpoint. The challenger went for a Mexican Destroyer, but was met with a Super Man punch. This led to an outrageous false finish.
Reigns went for a spear, but this time got hit with a Mexican Destroyer. Penta moved to attack, only to get struck by the second spear attempt. He kicked out as the crowd jumped to their feet.
Somehow, they upped the drama on the next near fall. Reigns took the mic to gloat before setting up for a spear. This one was reversed into a springboard Mexican Destroyer, as the place went wild. The challenger put on an entertaining show, but ultimately fell short.
Evans joined Bron Breakker among those qualified for the Money in the Bank ladder match, while Vice joined Sol Ruca on the women’s side. Lee and Penta put up valiant efforts to make their home crowd proud, but ultimately fell to the current champions.
