The Rock was part of WWE history this Saturday at Elimination Chamber. The golden goose babyface of the company, John Cena, delivered a low blow to the Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes, in the biggest heel turn since Hulk Hogan. Leaving Rhodes a bloody mess, The Rock was happy to claim John Cena’s soul. So, what’s next on the road to WrestleMania 41, and now, John Cena’s retirement tour?
Thinking back to Bad Blood in October 2024, The Rock started a mysterious hand gesture, holding up three fingers. Fans are buzzing, trying to figure out his next subtle clue. At WWE Elimination Chamber on Saturday, once Cena turned heel at Rhodes’ expense, the hand gesture now consists of only two fingers.

The modern-day soul eater is on a mission in 2025. After stealing the soul of the most valuable babyface in company history, does he have two more souls in mind? If this goes back to Bad Blood, this is amazing long-term storytelling, with more shockwaves to come. Top rumors to join include Roman Reigns, The Bloodline 2.0, A-Town Down Under, and Triple H. Expect a corporate faction takeover, similar to The Authority and Seth Rollins.
There’s no way to know what’s next, but the WWE is booking this so well and so far in advance that it will continue to be great. This could be the start of an all-time faction to reach the heights of an NWO, Evolution, or DX.
