John Cena will get his shot to become the most decorated champion of all time, with an opportunity at his 17th championship against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania. The Rock and Rhodes came to the ring after Cena’s match, where an official answer was given. Cody sold his soul to the ring and the fans long ago. Thanks to being on Netflix, there was an uncensored F-bomb directed at The Rock, a word never heard on WWE.
If the pop from the cursing babyface wasn’t enough excitement, WWE delivered one of their best decisions ever. On his retirement tour, after being the only man not to earn his way into the chamber, he would come out victorious to earn a shot at Cody Rhodes. After cursing out The Rock, the two shook hands, as lifetime babyfaces do, but that’s when Cena shocked the world. In the biggest heel turn since Hulk Hogan, Cena delivered the loudest low blow ever.
When WWE teases Corporate Cody, it delivers Corporate Cena. With one of the most shocking heel-turns of all time, Cena has his eyes set on that record-breaking 17th world title. In a way, it was a passing of the face of the company and the passing of the “Forever Babyface” title. Slicing Cody open with his late father’s watch, Cena sold his soul to The Rock, hoping to make history.
