Iyo Sky shocked the WWE Universe on Monday Night Raw this week. With a title match at WrestleMania on the line, Iyo Sky challenged Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women’s World Championship. The winner will defend that title against Bianca Belair at the biggest event in wrestling. The storytelling during the match was almost as great as the shock itself.

WWE Monday Night Raw
After earning her WrestleMania moment via winning the Elimination Chamber, Bianca Belair was ringside to watch. In what was expected to be a filler match on the path to WrestleMania, it was anything but. WWE is doing its best booking since the Attitude Era.
There were such low expectations for this match, with people already booking Ripley versus Belair at WrestleMania. Those same expectations, with the storytelling inside their match, made this one of the best title changes on Raw. After a great back-and-forth match, it all came down to the finish.
Ripley had Iyo on her shoulders, slamming her face first off the apron, then the announcer table. After cheering for Iyo Sky, Belair was confronted by Ripley. After the referee split the two apart, Ripley carried Iyo’s lifeless body to the top rope, setting up for an Avalanche Riptide. Ripley had her eyes on Belair the entire time, pausing to say, “See you at Mania, Bianca.”

This was the moment Iyo Sky shocked the world. Reversing the Avalanche Riptide with a hurricanrana and following up with an Over The Moonsault, Sky secured her path to WrestleMania. Combine the emotion on Iyo’s face with all the hands on heads and jaws on floors, it was one of the more shocking moments in Raw history.

End Of My Iyo Sky Shocks WWE Raw Rant
With so little time before WrestleMania, we wait to see what’s next for Rhea. Iyo Sky, riding the momentum of the huge win, will now face the Elimination Chamber winner, Bianca Belair. The story includes Jade Cargill being upset with Naomi and perhaps Belair. Cargill was jumped and put on the shelf, returning by brutally attacking Naomi to the point she could not start the match. So, what does that mean for Belair, and what path could Ripley now take to WrestleMania?
