There has been much speculation regarding Vinicius Jr.’s future at Real Madrid. The star has clarified his position.
Fans have been worried amidst the growing interest from the Saudi Pro League. The star, however, has made it clear that he wants to stay at the club.
Some believed the Brazilian would follow the wave of players heading to Saudi Arabia. This belief was supported by the hefty fee Saudi clubs were ready to pay for Vinicius if he accepted their offer. According to Marca, the offer was €1 billion over five years.
Much to the fans’ delight, Vinicius doesn’t want to head to Saudi Arabia.
Vinicius Jr has assured fans that he plans to stay at Real Madrid. He is also ready to sign a new deal. Speaking to reporters, he said:
“I am very calm because I have a contract until 2027 and I hope I can renew it as soon as possible because I am happy here. Everyone loves me and likes me very much. I couldn’t be in a better place than here.”
His choice to stay at Real Madrid is the right one. He is still 24 years old, so he has much to offer. He has the chance to become one of the club’s legends. The Brazilian realizes that.
“I am here to continue the story, everything that the president and the club have given me. I hope I can continue scoring more goals and playing more games with this shirt. I have won, but I can win much more and I can go down in the history of this club with so many great players who are legends.”
While many stars have made their way to the Saudi Pro League, Vinicius shouldn’t do the same. Even if Saudi clubs will pay more than Real Madrid is ready to offer, he should still choose the Spanish giants.
It has been reported that the winger rejected the initial deal offered by Real Madrid. Now that he has made it clear that he wants to stay, he might be willing to have further negotiations take place.
Vinicius has voiced his thoughts on his future and is focused on staying with Real Madrid. The club should act quickly and extend his contract to keep a world-class player.
