Breaking: North Carolina Gets Superstar Player Back For His 5th-Season After Flirting With The Transfer Portal And NBA Draft
North Carolina had a season of dreams in 2023, becoming one of the best teams in all of college basketball, winning the ACC regular season, and finding themselves as the number-one seed in the NCAA Tournament.
North Carolina lost to Alabama in the Sweet Sixteen, and one of their best players, RJ Davis, had to decide whether to enter the NBA Draft or even the portal. On Tuesday, a report stated that Davis would return to North Carolina for his fifth season.
Davis Coming Back Is Major
Davis had a fifth year due to COVID-19 and will use it to give the Tar Heels one more fantastic season. Davis was one of the best guards in the country last season. He was even a finalist for the Naismith Award, given to the best player in college basketball.
North Carolina is looking to have another great season in 2024, and they will have to do it without one of the best players in school history, Armando Bacot. Davis will bring veteran leadership to the young guy on the team, and I expect to see the Tar Heels as one of the best teams in the game again next season.
