These post-mania SmackDown results contain fallout from the weekend’s big event, but brought forward some new storylines as well. Fans would see all of the new champions and also get to see one crowned.

Jacob Fatu, Roman Reigns, The Usos, & MFTs

“The Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu, fresh off his win over “The Scottish Psychopath” Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania, came to cut an in-ring promo. Fatu called out the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns, but got The Usos (“Main Event” Jey and “Big” Jim Uso) instead. They’d recommended Fatu change his goals to chase “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes and his Undisputed WWE Championship, before being interrupted by Solo Sikoa and the MFTs. The result was a match between Fatu and Sikoa later in the night.

New Champ Crowned – Post-Mania SmackDown Results

Tiffany Stratton had a shot at the WWE Women’s United States Championship through Giulia. They tried to make Stratton look more technically sound than she is, but she couldn’t keep up with her opponent.

These attempts made the match slower and choppier than you’d expect. They did have Giulia drop the title, and fairly cleanly at that.

Women’s Tag Title Picture – Post-Mania SmackDown Results

The new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, WWE Hall of Famer Brie Bella and Paige, went to the ring with microphones. They were interrupted by Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, resulting in a title match, right then and there. This match, however, was interrupted by NXT’S Fatal Influence (Jayce Jane, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reed), who stomped the boots on everyone.

Cody Rhodes Fills Time

Rhodes came to the ring for a rather meaningless promo. In short, he’s easy to find, but hard to beat. This felt more like a time filler, or, perhaps, showing off his black eye from “The Viper” Randy Orton at WrestleMania.

Damian Priest & R-Truth Vs. MFTs

The WWE World Tag Team Championship was on the line; R-Truth and Damian Priest were defending against Tama Tonga and JC Mateo, accompanied by Tanga Loa, of the MFTs. Loa ran the typical heel interference, but it wasn’t enough to dethrone the champions in this rather vanilla match.

Trick Williams & Sami Zayn

New WWE United States Champion Trick Williams, accompanied by Lil Yachty and the gingerbread mascot. It didn’t take long to recognize the mannerisms of the man in the costume. Williams and Yachty celebrated before being attacked by Sami Zayn.

Danhausen Vs. The Miz – Post-Mania SmackDown Results

Danhausen versus The Miz was next, and it was nothing more than a gimmick match. Miz lost because his opponent kept using pyro in his matches.

Fatal Influence Destroy Rhea Ripley

New WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley entered the ring and issued an open challenge. Fatal Influence made their second appearance on the show, and the WWE Universe wasn’t having it. The boos were louder than the microphone.

Ripley and Jane finally got to a singles match. They had a respectable back-and-forth for a period, until the champ ultimately gained control.

Fatal Influence stormed the ring to jump Ripley, and the match was thrown out. The champ was left lifeless in the middle of the ring.

Jacob Fatu Vs. Solo Sikoa – Post-Mania SmackDown Results

Sikoa versus Fatu, accompanied by the MFTs, was the main event. It wasn’t the quickest pace, but the power moves and reversals from both were top-notch.

The MFTs got involved a few times, trying to aid Sikoa, but Fatu turned them into false finishes. The Samoan Werewolf made the full babyface comeback to pick up the victory.

The MFTs tried to jump Fatu post-match, but he made another babyface comeback, tearing everyone apart. The Usos came to help The Samoan Werewolf, but it turned out that he didn’t need any.
