The NFL win totals are officially out, per ESPN Bets. With so much time left before the start of the season, gamblers are looking for angles on the win totals. This is the NFC South edition of the series.
Carolina Panthers 6.5 Wins – Under

The Carolina Panthers had the NFL’s worst defense and 29th-ranked offense last season; a better line for the team would have been 2.5 wins. Expect another development year for quarterback Bryce Young. They will fill a need with their ninth overall pick in the upcoming 2025 NFL draft, but they have been too quiet in free agency to think they care about winning this year.
New Orleans Saints 5.5 Wins – Under

This line is fair for the New Orleans Saints. They had only five wins last season and haven’t done much in the offseason. Having the 30th-ranked overall defense in the NFL won’t keep them in many games. Their offense has some above-average pieces, but not nearly enough firepower. After WR1 Chris Olave, there is a steep decline in talent, including the fact that he relies on quarterback Derek Carr to get him the ball.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers 9.5 Wins – Over

This is the perfect line for Tampa Bay, so avoid this bet if possible. Resulting in ten wins, the Buccaneers had the third-overall offense and 18th-ranked defence in the NFL last season. Their major downfall was the 29th-ranked pass defense, so if they can improve that, they will be in a good spot this year.
Atlanta Falcons 7.5 Wins – Over

The Atlanta Falcons were expected to leap forward last year under head coach Raheem Morris, and while they did look better, there were some growing pains. There is too much talent on their roster, as indicated by their sixth overall offense last season. If they can improve their defense, the Falcons should be able to turn their baby steps into leaps and bounds.

End Of My NFL Win Totals Rant
The NFC South is a conference of two halves, with the Panthers and Saints dismissible, and the Buccaneers and Falcons as legitimate playoff threats. If the Falcons improve their defense, they may overtake the Buccaneers as the big dog in the conference. The best bets would be the under for Carolina and the over for Atlanta.
