NFL fans now have something else to wager on. ESPN BETS released their team win totals on March 27, 2025, and look no further for the winning bets. The suggestions and reasons are all here, in this AFC West edition.
In the seven seasons quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been with the team, they have only hit that under once, with 11 wins in 2023. The Chiefs have become the team fans love to hate, and will be hungry after the embarrassing loss in the Super Bowl last season. This team has been to six of the last seven Super Bowls, but fans love to make up excuses and bet against the modern dynasty.
This is the perfect line for the Los Angeles Chargers, with the total coming down to a couple of coinflip games. Under the new leadership of head coach Jim Harbaugh, they hit the over on this line for the first time since 2018. They were considered ahead of schedule with room to grow, so lean on a slight over.
The Denver Broncos will come close to this fair total, but still have the Chiefs and Chargers above them, with a retooled Raiders team on their tail. Teams will have more time to watch their rookie quarterback last season, Bo Nix. Their defense will keep them in most games, but they don’t have the firepower to compete as a legitimate Super Bowl threat.
This team was a mess last season, including four wins with quarterback Gardner Minshew as their top passer. Hitting the over on the five seasons before that, the team was retooled this offseason under the tutelage of Tom Brady. Running back Raheem Mostert and quarterback Geno Smith have to equal at least two more wins, not to mention the numerous significant defensive additions.
The Chiefs and Raiders are the best locks of the list, while the other two teams may be more compelling down the stretch. On paper, the Raiders are the most improved team, but with so much turnover, there is no telling how everyone will mesh. The Chargers took a step forward last season, but they still struggled with the elite, so it will be interesting to follow their story this season.
