Week two of the Fantasy football season is just about wrapped up. Some players exceeded projections and dominated their respective matchups, while others put up complete duds. Here are the winners and losers of fantasy football week two.
Fantasy Football Winner #1: Josh Allen

Josh Allen continued his electric pace as he set himself above every other QB in fantasy football. His five total touchdowns led him to an impressive 45 fantasy points. Allen is certainly a winner in week two.
Fantasy Football Loser #1: Caleb Williams
Caleb Williams was coming off an incredible performance that made fantasy managers believe they had drafted a league winner in the mid rounds. Week two shattered some of those hopes and expectations for the time being. He had a poor performance against Brian Flores and the Minnesota Vikings and left with what appeared to be a significant injury in the fourth quarter. More information should be known as the week progresses, but Williams did not help fantasy owners this week.
Fantasy Football Winner #2: Jaxon Smith-Njigba
Jaxon Smith-Njigba put any doubt about whether or not the change at QB would affect his production to bed. He was an absolute killer on Sunday, dominating the Arizona Cardinals. He brought in three touchdowns and nine receptions, accounting for 155 yards. He continues to prove that last season was no fluke.
Fantasy Football Loser #2: Saquon Barkley

Saquon Barkley was limited with an injury suffered on the opening drive of the Philadelphia Eagles game against the Tennessee Titans. This was supposed to be a huge game against a poor run defense that just got stomped down by the New York Jets. Instead, fantasy owners got about three points and only nine yards on the ground. He appears to be ok heading into week three, but the injury scare is enough to keep fantasy owners wary.
Fantasy Football Winner #3: Devonta Smith
Devonta Smith was incredible against the Titans, leading the Eagles in targets, receptions, and yards. Jalen Hurts found his new WR1 ten times for 117 yards and a touchdown. This is the type of production that allows Smith to jump up a tier into the best of the best at the WR position.
Fantasy Football Loser #3: David Montgomery
David Montgomery balled out in week one but wasn’t able to replicate that in week two. His volume was almost nonexistent (six carries), and he was almost a second option to Woody Marks (eight carries, five receptions).
The Houston Texans had no success on the ground against the Cincinnati Bengals, regardless of who was playing, but that dip in volume is certainly concerning.

NOTE: These are not necessarily the best-performing players or worst-performing players. It is simply an evaluation of success or failure during week two of the NFL season. Some players will be excluded, but that doesn’t take away from their performances.
