The Los Angeles Lakers have had an extremely active NBA offseason, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. The Lakers are still heavily involved in the NBA rumor mill, with multiple trades still being able to take place. The latest is a potential Jonathan Kuminga or Peyton Watson sign-and-trade. In the event that doesn’t happen, here are three potential targets for Los Angeles to trade for.
Saddiq Bey

Saddiq Bey has made himself one of the most underrated players in the NBA. He is a fantastic shooter who plays hard every possession. He crashes the offensive boards, earning one of the highest OREB% in the NBA. When building a player you’d want to play next to Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves in the starting lineup, it would be difficult to find a better fit than Bey.
Los Angeles Lakers starting lineup with Bey:
- PG- Luka Doncic
- SG- Austin Reaves
- SF- Saddiq Bey
- PF- Sandro Mamukelashvili
- C- Walker Kessler
PJ Washington

PJ Washington would be the best possible addition the Lakers could make right now, and that’s including a potential Kuminga signing. He already has experience playing with Doncic and would be the perfect Rui Hachimura replacement in Los Angeles. Jarred Vanderbilt and other salaries, potentially Dalton Knecht, would go to the Dallas Mavericks in this hypothetical trade.
Cameron Johnson

Cameron Johnson would be, similar to Washington, the exact type of Hachimura replacement the Lakers should pursue. A great shooter off the catch who will thrive next to Doncic. He is one of the most reliable role players in the entire NBA. The package would be identical, with Vanderbilt being the headliner due to his $12 million salary.
End Of My Los Angeles Lakers NBA Rumors Rant
The Lakers are so close to having a perfect offseason. They’ve made some huge free agent signings, and don’t appear to be done. Filling out the rotation with another shooter, preferably from the Power Forward position, would solidify them as the winners of NBA free agency.
