The Philadelphia Eagles will begin their training camp on Tuesday, July 28th. There will be many storylines to follow, as there is every year. From position battles to trade candidates to players who need to breakout. This article, though, will take a look at three surprising players who could be on the chopping block by the end of the preseason.
WR Elijah Moore

Elijah Moore was brought on in the middle of the offseason for extra depth at the receiver position.
Since he was signed, the Eagles have addressed the position even further. The addition of first-round pick Makai Lemon as well as a few other wideouts limits the chance for Moore to make the roster.
He would have to beat out some of the younger depth guys that the Eagles have carried on the roster the last few years. Players like Johnny Wilson and Darius Cooper. It’s hard to see them giving the spot to Moore considering the other options on the roster.
QB Andy Dalton

Andy Dalton has a very interesting case coming into training camp this season. He is almost guaranteed to be the backup QB behind Jalen Hurts this year, but he isn’t the second-best QB on the roster.
Tanner McKee is at the center of trade talks and is likely to be traded by the start of the season.
In the event that McKee is not traded for some reason, it’s doubtful they would keep Dalton around as a third-string quarterback. Rookie Cole Payton may have that spot reserved for him.
CB Kelee Ringo

Kelee Ringo was drafted as a project player with tons of room for improvement. That was three years ago now, and we’re still yet to see it.
Ringo has been a solid special teamer his entire career, but he’s never been able to put it together at corner.
Ringo is another prime trade candidate for Philadelphia if he doesn’t have a big camp. His value isn’t much, and if no offer presents itself, he could find himself released by week one.
Fellow CB Jakorian Bennett is in a similar position. They traded for him last year with hopes of him solving a major depth issue. He hasn’t panned out either and could be on the chopping block.
End Of My Philadelphia Eagles Cut Candidates Rant
The Eagles will face some tough decisions as training camp goes on. Some of the players on the bubble will force them to make a move they probably weren’t anticipating having to make. These players would be surprising to see cut, but it can’t be ruled out.
