The Philadelphia Eagles training camp will begin on Tuesday, July 28th. That date will mark the beginning of another championship-hopeful season in Philadelphia. There are so many players’ battles to watch all throughout the process from now until week one. These three players have the highest potential to break out and really contribute during the 2026 season and beyond.
Jalyx Hunt, EDGE

Jalyx Hunt has been on the breakout radar every season since he was drafted. His incredible physical attributes make him a perfect candidate to see a major jump in his production. He had 1.5 sacks during his rookie season in 2024 and saw the number jump to 6.5 in 2025. This season, with an increased role, he could see that sack total get to double digits for the first time in his NFL career.
Moro Ojomo, DT

Moro Ojomo was a seventh-round draft pick in the 2023 draft who has steadily improved every season in the NFL. He saw a major uptick in opportunity last season when Milton Williams departed in free agency, leading to Ojomo having a career year. He improved in every major statistical category, including sacks, TFL, and QB hits. He will have another chance to break out this season and should be closely monitored in camp. All signs point to a potential Pro-Bowl level season in 2026.
Markel Bell, OT

Markel Bell may not exactly be considered eligible for a breakout since he’s a rookie, but his potential impact is just so great. This absolute monster of a human will be working at RT, a task that began almost immediately after being drafted. He is 6’9 and weighs 345 pounds, potentially creating the largest tackle group you could possibly have with Jordan Mailata. That, of course, is a picture for the future. As of now, Lane Johnson will still lock down the RT position barring any injury. Bell will get to learn from one of the greatest to ever play as he learns a new position. Keep an eye on Bell during camp and preseason to see how he adjusts.
End Of My Philadelphia Eagles Breakout Candidates Rant
The Eagles desperately need contributions from some of these non-star players to bring an added element of depth to the roster. If these three Eagles breakout candidates can do what they are capable of, the outlook on Philadelphia’s entire season would change.
