Fantasy football drafts are in full effect, and it is time to study up and make sure you’re building the best possible team. Let’s head over to the tight end position and take a look at some potential league winners. The top of the position is obvious, but who should you take after Brock Bowers and Trey McBride are off the board?
Tucker Kraft is the common value play of taking a risk on a player coming off a serious injury. It’s not safe by any means, but the upside is through the roof when drafting him at his current ADP in the seventh or eighth round. The risk is serious, but so is the reward. I like the look of Kraft as a league winner in 2026.
Travis Kelce is currently the tenth tight end of the board in a majority of fantasy drafts. That just sounds crazy to say. It shouldn’t be the case, yet somehow it is.
Kelce has still never had a year with less than 823 receiving yards in his NFL career. Seven of the nine players being drafted ahead of him failed to reach that number last season. Brock Bowers and Kyle Pitts are the only two who had more.
Kelce will be getting Patrick Mahomes back and healthy as they look to continue to push for more success as a pairing. The fantasy football world may be overthinking this Kelce draft position right now; it makes close to zero sense.
Terrance Ferguson was drafted in the second-round by the Los Angeles Rams last season, getting off to a slow start his rookie season.
Now, Ferguson should jump into a major role on one of the league’s best offenses. He has shown great upside in all aspects of the game, including pass protection and receiving. This will lead to more opportunities as he will simply be on the field more. Expect a major jump in production from the Rams sophomore tight end.
