Fantasy football drafts are in full effect, and it is time to study up and make sure you’re building the best possible team. Let’s start at the top of the lineup screen with the QB position. Here are three league winners to consider when drafting this season.
Caleb Williams is almost in a perfect situation for fantasy football. He has weapons around him and a coach that is determined to score the football. You don’t come out and say you want to be the highest-scoring offense ever if you don’t mean it.
Ben Johnson will put Williams in a situation to succeed, and Williams has all the talent needed to capitalize on it. At his current ADP, he’s the best value pick at quarterback.
Kyler Murray is the prototypical fantasy football dual-threat QB who brings value as a rusher. He is someone who is currently being drafted at an ADP of 153. Essentially, if he’s being drafted it is in the final few rounds.
Murray has a perfect setup for a fantasy team looking to build out the roster and settle on a QB late. The obvious connection here is Justin Jefferson. Teams who land him as their WR1 should absolutely look at Murray later on in the draft.
Another reason is the strength of schedule. Murray will face the second-easiest SOS in 2026 for fantasy football. If that’s not worth a late-round gamble, I’m not sure what is.
Patrick Mahomes is being severely underrated entering this fantasy football draft cycle. People are quick to forget just how valuable he can be as a quarterback.
Mahomes is currently being drafted as QB14. First off, that is absolutely insane. He has not finished that low in fantasy points per game once in his career. Last season before his injury, he was averaging the fourth most PPG from the QB position. In the per-game stat, Mahomes has seven top ten seasons in his eight-year career.
Mahomes obviously comes with the injury concerns; I get it. Sometimes you just need to trust the great players. Mahomes is just that, and getting him at the price of QB14 feels like a steal.
