Fantasy football drafts are in full effect, and it is time to study up and make sure you’re building the best possible team. Let’s take a look at the weakest position in fantasy football this year. Here’s three league winners at the running back position to consider when drafting this season.
Kenny Gainwell, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Kenny Gainwell is a gem in PPR leagues this season. Local reporters are always discussing how much they are emphasizing getting him the ball in the passing game, even mentioning that he may lead the team in receptions.
Gainwell profiles as a great RB3 with RB2 potential in fantasy football. The concern comes from the loaded backfield in Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers will have to split snaps between Bucky Irving, Sean Tucker, and Gainwell. They all have specific roles, and Gainwell excels in the passing game both as a receiver and blocker. I wouldn’t be as concerned with him as I would with Irving.
TreVeyon Henderson, New England Patriots

TreVeyon Henderson is someone I’m counting on for a major role increase heading into year two. Rhamondre Stevenson is still in the picture, but Henderson will have more of an immediate role than what we saw last season.
This is a very risky play considering his ADP is pretty high, but it’s a risk-reward type of game. I like Henderson as someone who could be a league winner in 2026.
Bhayshul Tuten, Jacksonville Jaguars

Bhayshul Tuten is in a great situation to succeed with the Jacksonville Jaguars and head coach Liam Coen. This is a system that leads to easy fantasy production from running backs, and we’ve seen it happen year after year.
Travis Etienne is now out of the picture, leaving Tuten to battle Chris Rodriguez Jr. for playing time. That may become a factor down near the goal line, but overall concern shouldn’t be too high.
Tuten is being drafted around the RB20 spot right now. People are being understandably cautious due to a lack of NFL production, but since when did that impact fantasy decisions? Don’t we love the upside play? Tuten is just that; he’s a high-upside play at a very weak position for fantasy football in 2026.
