These WWE SmackDown results are from the April 10, 2026, episode from San Jose, California. How did things heat up just one week prior to WrestleMania?
Rhea Ripley was forced to watch the beating of her friend, Iyo Sky, last week, then responded by calling out WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill. Sky came to the ring and got a shot at the champ later in the night.
Bayley, accompanied by Lyra Valkyria, had a singles match against Alexa Bliss, accompanied by Charlotte Flair. Bliss shocked the world by lasting through a couple of finishers and earning the victory, with the outside assist from Flair.
The debuting Royce Keys had a boring squash match with Berto. Following the match, Solo Sikoa let Keys know who runs SmackDown and to let him know if he can be of assistance.
Pat McAfee gave a cringe promo, which turned into an ad for Ram trucks, which wasn’t even the first time he mentioned them on the show. WrestleMania tickets are still available, so the WWE Universe can get 25% off if you buy a truck. This segment was a joke.
It was eventually interrupted by Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes. After getting booed last week, they really tried to shine up the champ, sucking up to the crowd and failing to connect. “The Viper” Randy Orton eventually appeared on the Jumbotron, showing him overtop a lifeless Jelly Roll. The vicious beatdown on Rhodes and Jelly continued as the segment ended.
“The Samoan Werewolf” Jacob Fatu versus Tama Tonga, accompanied by the MFTs, was next. It wasn’t a long match, but both men did execute a couple of slick reversals. Fatu won the match, but was blindsided post-match by “The Scottish Psychopath” Drew McIntyre.
McIntyre beat the pulp out of him for an extended period. He used a steel chair, handcuffs, and more, leaving Fatu on the mat.
WWE United States Champion Sami Zayn came to the ring to a chorus of boos. Zayn tried to explain how much he cares about wrestling and the fans, but they continued to boo him. Depending on the perspective, he was either saved or interrupted by Lil Yachty and Trick Williams, who appeared to a massive pop. This all led to the match between Williams and Matt Cardona.
Zayn and Williams got into a tussle ringside, setting up the finish of the match. Yachty kept the champ busy, leading to his ally’s victory.
Danhausen finally made his in-ring debut against Kit Wilson, accompanied by The Miz. Wilson controlled the action early, while his opponent worked in some comedic spots.
The finish of the match was more of a joke against pro-wrestling than a comedic spot. Daunhausen “caused” pyro to strike Wilson on the top rope, setting up his finisher.
Sky wanted revenge after being jumped last week, and she had a non-title match with WWE Women’s Champion Cargill. Sky carried this match, and it wasn’t even close. Cargill hit a few power moves, but any reversals or excitement came from her opponent.
It’s a shame to see Sky lose clean in this spot, but it happened. Cargill’s WrestleMania opponent, Ripley, arrived post-match to avoid further damage to her friend.
