Russell Wilson is one of the last quarterbacks remaining in this frantic NFL offseason. The former Super Bowl winner re-polished his image in Pittsburgh last year and is looking for a new home. Mr. Unlimited may be different, but the free agent still has some gas in the tank to help a team. While numerous teams are floating out there, these are the top three landing spots for Russell Wilson.

No. 1 NFL Fit – Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers make the most sense for Wilson. He would know their system better than any available quarterback, having played for the Steelers just last season. Pittsburgh has also improved their receiving core, trading for wide receiver D.K. Metcalf from Seattle. The fact that Wilson and Metcalf played together for the Seahawks is another factor making this the best fit. The team made the playoffs with Wilson last team, so why not run it back with some improved pieces?

No. 2 NFL Fit – Cleveland Browns

Wilson is scheduled to meet with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Cleveland is in the unfortunate but self-inflicted position of needing a quarterback and having guaranteed money tied up in a bad one. The Browns may look to sign the veteran if the price is right.

No. 3 NFL Fit – New York Giants

On Friday, March 14, 2025, Wilson is scheduled to meet with the New York Giants. While the Giants have a pending offer to quarterback Aaron Rodgers, it seems unlikely he will sign. Rodgers does not want to go to a worse team and is playing the waiting game. Wilson would be a steady veteran presence on the rebuilding team, but is that something he may be interested in? Is he OK with being the team’s second choice? Every man has a price.
