Tiffany Stratton won the women’s WWE Money in the Bank ladder match on Oct. tenth at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. The win made her the second woman, after Carmella, to capture the women’s briefcase twice, two years after her 2024 victory. Stratton outlasted Lash Legend, Sol Ruca, Roxanne Perez, Jacy Jayne, and Lola Vice, using the briefcase to knock Legend off the ladder before unhooking the contract.

Tiffany Stratton Already Cashed In Once

Stratton won her first contract on July sixth, 2024, in Toronto. At the first SmackDown of 2025, she cashed in on her ally, Nia Jax, to win the WWE Women’s Championship. The reign lasted 302 days before Jade Cargill took the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event on Nov. first 2025.

Stratton also held the NXT Women’s Championship for 107 days in 2023 and the Women’s United States Championship in 2026. The U.S. title came on the April 24 SmackDown, and Jayne took it from her on the Aug. 14 episode. Earlier in the year, the former champion entered the Royal Rumble last and finished second, eliminated by winner Liv Morgan. Rhea Ripley then eliminated her last in the Elimination Chamber.

Stratton Was Already In The Title Picture

Stratton has worked as a babyface on SmackDown, teaming with WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green. Both women were in the five-woman ladder match for the interim title at SummerSlam on Aug. second, which the eventual champion won. On the Oct. ninth SmackDown, the champion told Cathy Kelley she was “manifesting a Tiffy win” at Money in the Bank.

Stratton was left off the WrestleMania 42 card in April. The Prior Lake, Minnesota, native addressed it on the Battleground podcast in July. “Hopefully I never get left off of another WrestleMania again,” she said. In a later episode, the two-time briefcase winner said a heel turn will look like “me on steroids.”

The Rest Of The Money In The Bank Field

During the match, Ruca hung from the briefcase after a ladder was pulled out from under her and later dove onto Legend through a ladder. Perez hit a springboard moonsault onto two opponents lying across a ladder. Legend powerbombed Ruca onto a ladder in the closing stretch, then climbed against Stratton on the opposite side.

Legend pinned Ruca in a six-woman tag match on the Oct. ninth SmackDown, teaming with Stratton and Jayne against Ruca, Perez, and Vice. After the bell, the SmackDown star turned on her partners and hit Stratton with the Lash Extension. Two of the Raw women also clashed that week, as Vice accidentally hit Ruca with a backfist on the Oct. fifth Raw.

Jayne is the reigning Women’s United States Champion, and Perez is a two-time NXT Women’s Champion. None of the other five women in the match had won a Money in the Bank ladder match before. The contract gives Stratton a women’s championship match at a time and place of her choosing within the next year.

End Of My Tiffany Stratton Rant

Stratton should not have won Money in the Bank. The former champion already took the briefcase in 2024, cashed it in, and held the WWE Women’s Championship for 302 days. The contract exists to make new stars, and the 2026 winner was already one of the established names on SmackDown. Giving it to her a second time wasted the spot.

Legend was the obvious choice. After turning on her partners the night before, the SmackDown star was one briefcase away from the most dangerous heel run in the division. Perez, Ruca, and Vice are still looking for a main roster breakthrough. Any of them would have walked out of New Orleans with a brand new storyline.

Stratton did not need the help. A teased heel turn, a friendship with the champion, and a WrestleMania snub already gave her a path back to the title. Joining Carmella as a two-time winner is a nice line for the record books, but it came at the expense of the women who needed the contract more. The briefcase should build the next star, not pad the résumé of a woman who already owns three singles championships.
