Liv Morgan is the WWE Women’s World Champion again. The 2026 Royal Rumble winner took the title from Stephanie Vaquer in a triple threat with Becky Lynch at Money in the Bank on Oct. tenth in New Orleans. The win came 28 days after Vaquer took the championship from Morgan at a Sept. 12 live event in Vaquer’s home country of Chile.
How Liv Morgan Won The Title Back

Earlier in the match, Morgan was trapped in a half crab and a Dis-Arm-Her by her two opponents at the same time. Vaquer later nearly won when she came off the top rope onto the former champion, but Lynch pulled the referee out of the ring to stop the count. The champion answered with a superkick that sent the Man off the apron onto a table. Morgan then hit Oblivion on Vaquer for the pin.
The triple threat came out of the Oct. fifth Raw, where Lynch and Morgan’s No. one contender’s match ended without a winner after Vaquer attacked both women. The champion then demanded a triple threat, and Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made it official for New Orleans. Lynch had also played a part in the Sept. 12 title change, stopping her count at two as special guest referee after the then-champion hit Oblivion.
Liv Morgan’s Title History

Morgan’s first reign under the Women’s World Championship name began on May 25, 2024, when she beat Lynch at King and Queen of the Ring. Lynch had won the then-vacant title in April 2024. The reign lasted 226 days before Rhea Ripley took the title on the Jan. sixth, 2025, edition of Raw. Morgan won the 2026 Royal Rumble on Jan. 31, last eliminating Tiffany Stratton, and beat Vaquer at WrestleMania 42 for her third reign overall, which lasted 147 days.
Before that, Morgan won the 2022 women’s Money in the Bank ladder match and cashed in on Ronda Rousey the same night for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. WWE counts that reign in the same title lineage, since the belt was renamed the Women’s World Championship in 2023. The 2024 Crown Jewel Championship and four Women’s Tag Team Championship reigns with Raquel Rodriguez are also on her résumé. During the WrestleMania 42 reign, Morgan retained against IYO SKY on Night One of SummerSlam.
Stephanie Vaquer’s Two Reigns

Vaquer won the vacant Women’s World Championship by beating SKY at Wrestlepalooza on Sept. 20, 2025. Morgan ended that first reign at WrestleMania 42 in April. The second reign, which began in Santiago, lasted 28 days.
The Chilean star came to Raw from NXT, where she held the NXT Women’s Championship and the NXT Women’s North American Championship at the same time in 2025. Vaquer relinquished the North American title during that run. On the main roster, the former double champion has now held the Women’s World Championship twice in just over a year.
End Of My Liv Morgan Rant

Morgan as Women’s World Champion again is a step backwards. Raw just moved the title to Vaquer a month ago, and now it is right back where it was at WrestleMania. A 28-day reign is a pause button, not a reign. The division spent September building toward something new, then went back to the same champion.
Morgan has held this title three times since 2024, and she already had her Royal Rumble and WrestleMania moment this year. Vaquer was the fresh face, and she deserved a real run with the championship after winning it back in front of her home country. Taking it off her this quickly makes her second reign feel like it never mattered. Even the finish leaned on Lynch, the same woman who cost Morgan the title in September.
Raw has other women waiting. Rodriguez, Roxanne Perez, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, and SKY are all on the roster, and none of them got the spotlight that comes with a new champion. Three of them came up short in the ladder match earlier the same night, so the title was the one place left to create a new story. A fourth Morgan reign is a rerun, and the Women’s World Championship needed a new episode. The title should reward a new contender, not bounce between the same two names every few weeks.
