Tiffany Stratton tried to hand her Money in the Bank briefcase to a referee on the Oct. 23 episode of WWE SmackDown, but the cash-in never became official. Stratton ran in after Chelsea Green retained the WWE Women’s Championship against Roxanne Perez, while Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, Perez, and Raquel Rodriguez attacked Green and IYO SKY. The Miss Money in the Bank cleared the ring and struck Morgan with the briefcase before calling for the match.

Morgan won the Women’s World Championship at Money in the Bank on Oct. 10 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. The triple threat match ended when Stephanie Vaquer took Oblivion for the pinfall, with Becky Lynch also in the bout. The result began Morgan’s fourth reign. The Raw star is booked against Green in a Champion vs. Champion match on Nov. 7 at Riyadh Season Stadium.

Stratton won the women’s ladder match on the same card, beating Perez, Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne, and Lash Legend. The finish came when Legend went down near the top of a ladder and the briefcase came free. The ladder win was the second of Stratton’s career, after a 2024 victory.

Morgan has won a title with a Money in the Bank contract. The cash-in came on July 2, 2022, at that year’s Money in the Bank event and earned the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Stratton was the last woman Morgan eliminated to win the Royal Rumble on Jan. 31.

Chelsea Green And Nikki Bella Fight Under The Shadow Of The Briefcase

Nikki Bella challenges Green for the WWE Women’s Championship on the Oct. 30 SmackDown in Charleston, W.Va. The match was set on the Oct. 16 SmackDown, when Green offered a title shot and Bella turned down the first date in favor of Oct. 30. Sami Zayn defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against Trick Williams is also on the card.

On Jan. 3, 2025, Stratton helped Nia Jax retain against Naomi on SmackDown, then cashed in on Jax to win the WWE Women’s Championship. The reign lasted until Jade Cargill took the title at Saturday Night’s Main Event on Nov. 1, 2025. WWE.com’s title history credits Stratton with 301 days as champion.

Green and Stratton have been opponents and partners. At SummerSlam on Aug. 2, Green won the title in a five-woman ladder match that included Stratton, Cargill, Legend, and Charlotte Flair. Five days later, the pair teamed and lost to Fatal Influence in a Women’s Tag Team Championship match.

Roxanne Perez And The Judgment Day Stand Between Tiffany Stratton And Gold

Perez has lost to Stratton and Green in less than two weeks. The Judgment Day member came up short in the Oct. 10 ladder match. On Oct. 23, Rodriguez pushed Green off the top rope during the title match before IYO SKY arrived from Raw to stop the interference. The Un-Pretty-Her finished Perez moments later.

The Judgment Day protected Morgan after the bell. Rodriguez and Perez pulled the Women’s World Champion out of the ring before the match could start. Stratton still holds the contract won on Oct. 10.

End Of My Tiffany Stratton Rant

The cash-in failed, and it still did its job. Every segment on the road to Crown Jewel now comes with a look at the ramp. One successful cash-in before Nov. 7 sends Morgan to Riyadh without the title that earned the Champion vs. Champion spot. Green and Bella fight on Oct. 30 knowing the winner might not keep the belt past the post-match celebration.

Stratton has done this before, against a champion who thought the night was over. Waiting is the smart play. The Judgment Day can only guard Morgan for so long, and one distracted moment is all the briefcase needs. Crown Jewel in Riyadh is the obvious spot.

Perez and Rodriguez bought Morgan time on Oct. 23. A second rescue will not come so easily. Perez and Rodriguez now stand on the wrong side of a woman holding a guaranteed title match. Stratton has the contract, the track record, and two champions to choose from. The next time the briefcase reaches a referee, the bell needs to ring.
