When many think of the name Hulk Hogan, there are quite a few descriptions for him. The two words I commonly use on Hogan is “Pathological Liar.” Hogan has turned lying into an art form with how he manipulates and tells his story. This is Part 2 of the many lies told by Hulk Hogan. If you want to read Part 1, you can click here, and for Part 2, you can click here. So, let’s reflect on the biggest lies he’s told throughout his career.

21. Hulk Tore Every Muscle In His Back, Slamming Andre, The Giant

Ahh, the WrestleMania 3 match with Hulk Hogan was one of Wrestlemania’s biggest and most important matches. Well, the Hulkster has his own story about the match.

Hogan claimed that when he body-slammed Andre the Giant, he tore every single muscle in his back and both of his biceps. All 18 muscles were torn due to his body slamming the 600-pound ain’t, according to him. First off, Andre was in the 500-550 lb range. Second, if Hogan had suffered these injuries, why didn’t he take time off to heal from them? You can’t magically heal from tears to both biceps and back injuries. There no joke and I remember a family member of mine who tore one muscle in his back and herniated a disc, he barely could walk right. Tearing every single muscle would put him out of action. So yeah, he’s full of it here, but that’s not the worst lie he’s told about Andre.

22. Hulk Claimed Ande Died Days After The Match

That’s not the only thing Hogan has lied about. He shows some of his wrestling boots on his Hogan Knows Best reality show. He then states that these are his favorite boots, and after the WrestleMania 3 match with Andre, he died a few days later. That match with Andre occurred in 1987, and Andre died in 1993. Andre’s last match was in a tag team match that didn’t involve Hogan, as it took place in Japan.

23. He Wrestled 400 Days In A Year

Okay, this is just a silly lie he’s told for decades. Hulk Hogan claims he traveled so much between Japan and the USA that he wrestled 400 days a year thanks to the time zone difference. That’s not how math works and it’s impossible for time travel to be done. Not only is he full of it, but he’s also delusional as well. I’m surprised he didn’t include his time travel all around the USA to that number.

24. He Didn’t Know Rock And Stone Cold Were Coming Out At WrestleMania 30

Hulk Hogan was on the 30th Edition of the Wrestlemania show, which he had to be as he main evented multiple Wrestlemania’s in his career. At WrestleMania, he had a segment with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin in an excellent segment. If you ignore Hulk getting the arena name wrong.

After the show, Hulk would go on to claim that he had no idea they were coming out, and it was so surprising that it happened. Well, he’s full of it as, in multiple WWE documentaries, Hulk is behind the scenes with The Rock and Stone Cold, hanging out and even discussing their segment on WrestleMania.

25. Claims That He Truly Knew What Happened In The Montreal Screwjob

In 1997, Hulk Hogan was talking about the Montreal Screwjob, and he claimed to know what happened at the Montreal Screwjob. Hogan claimed the following about the Montreal Screwjob and from his “sources.”

  • It Took place at either WrestleMania 2000 or WrestleMania X-Seven (WRONG 1997)
  • Bret Hart was told on that night by Vince McMahon that Shawn Michaels was winning the WWF Title (WRONG It Was Planned In Advanced and Breat Used Creative Control)
  • The fans in Canada were chanting, “Bret Screwed Bret” (No they weren’t)
  • Michaels “pulled a fast one” on Bret by holding him down and pinning him (Michaels Put Him In a Sharpshooter and Didn’t Win Via Pinfall.
  • Despite supposedly being the greatest wrestler of all time, Hart was held down by “little teeny” Shawn and got embarrassed (Alright, Hulk is just pushing it)

Not only does Hulk not know what he’s talking about, but he’s also lying about the details of the Montreal Screwjob.

26. Claims He’s Responsible For WWF’s First Selling Merchandise And Talked Vince Into Doing It

Here’s another doozy. WWE was a merchandising machine that became a juggernaut when Hulkamania ran wild. Hulk claimed that he was the man who pushed WWE to sell merchandising and had to talk Vince McMahon into doing it, and thus, he became the first to do it. The problem was WWE started selling merchandise in the mid-70s and sold program books, posters, and magazines. By the way, Hulk joined WWE in 1978. By the way, Hulk got fired in 1981, and WWE sold a ton of merchandise in his absence. When he returned in 1983, the explosion of merchandise sales began.

27. Hogan Claimed That The NWO Was His Idea And Had Different Members

This is just ridiculous. With his hot nWo and changed wrestling, Hulk claimed that it was his idea from the beginning, and the original members were him, Brutus Beefcake, and The Nasty Boys. Hogan’s best friends would be part of his version of the nWo, not Scott Hall and Kevin Nash. The problem is, everyone, including Nash and Hall, said that it was Eric Bischoff who came up with the idea. Hogan didn’t even want to be a part of it initially until he was talked into it by Bischoff.

28. Hulk’s Harley Race Firearm Lie

Harley Race is among the toughest professional wrestlers in the business’s history. In the 1980s, Vince McMahon was reading the territories, including the NWA and Kansas Region, which did not make him happy.

Harley decided to grab a gun and go to the arena in 1980 to talk to Hogan. Hogan was not at the building, and Race would light up the ring with gasoline to send a message.

Well, according to Hogan, he has a different story. He claims that Harley Race, after setting the ring on fire, pointed a gun at him, then immediately shook hands with him, thanked him for all he had done for wrestling at that time, and asked for a job. Yeah, totally something a guy would do with a gun in his hands. Thank them for what they’ve done and then ask for a job. That sounds like a whole lot of BS. Trevor Murdoch even admitted that shaking hands and asking for a job part was total BS.

29. Wrestled Brock Lesnar When Brock Returned From UFC In 2012

In the Joe Rogan interview, Hulk talks about Brock Lesnar and states the following.

“I got him first when he came back from the UFC. I was kind of winding down, putting guys over and doing my thing and Vince goes, ‘I want you to work with Brock.’ I went, ‘Okay.’ I knew his buddy, Brad Rheingans, who was from Minnesota. He was the coach of the Olympic team several years back, and so when Brock was in high school, we had heard of him, we kept an eye on him. When he came back from UFC, they gave him to me first, and he was really intense, brother. He was really intense…”

Hulk, you do realize that Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012. You were under contract with TNA at the time. Hulk didn’t return to WWE until 2014, so claiming to have wrestled Brock in 2012 in WWE is just false.

30. Hulk Hogan Says He Pitched Turning Heel Against Ultimate Warrior At WrestleMania VI

Hulk Hogan’s turn in WCW is one of the most shocking and successful heel turns of all time. It started the nWo, which was the best faction in WCW history. However, Hulk Hogan repeatedly claimed he wanted to turn heel ages ago. Hulk even claims that in his interview with Barstool Rasslin.

“When I did the job for The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 6, … one of the things I said to Vince McMahon was, ‘Let me turn heel.’ If you watch the tape, … everybody in the crowd was watching me leave. … Slowly, I [could have] turned and [came] back and just ground him.”

The problem is, that’s not even close to the truth. Vince McMahon himself admitted on his Mr.McMahon documentary series on Netflix that there were no plans or ideas about turning Hulk Heel into WWE. Even Bruce Prichard backed Vince on that and never once revealed Hogan wanting to go heel. That match was the only one where it was good guy vs. good guy and was heavily marketed that way, too. So, yeah, that’s another lie on Hulkster’s record.

The problem with a bulls*** artist is that you don’t know when the bulls*** stops and when the truth begins. That is Hulk Hogan every time he opens his mouth. The worst part is that there are so many more lies that this man has told that this type of article will have more than two parts. To be Continued……
