WWE Raw opened this week with CM Punk coming to the ring to cut a promo about his recent storyline with Seth Rollins. Punk’s promo would have plenty of deep cuts that didn’t resonate with the majority of people. Seth would eventually appear amidst the crowd and the two would cut at each other with some personal blows that turned the promos great before running at each other. Officials would pull them apart but you could tell both men wanted to land a couple real shots in with the work. This may be the best storyline going right now as it is the best at blurring the line of reality and entertainment.

WWE Intercontinental Championship

The first match of the night was for the Intercontinental Championship. Ludwig Kaiser would get his one-on-one opportunity against Bron Breakker. Nothing technical but a pretty physical matchup including a nice spot at the announce desk. From that spot they would work a shoulder injury on Bron Breakker. What this match lacked in technical spots and nice reversals it made up for in intensity and interesting spots. Bron would pull it out in the end with a spear.

WWE Women’s World Championship Number-One Contender

The next segment would see Dominik Mysterio and Raquel Rodriguez join Liv Morgan in the ring for a promo. Liv would be interrupted by Rhea Ripley after a short time of gloating. Rhea would let Liv know that she is now the official number-one contender for her Women’s World Championship.

WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Tournament

The next match was a triple threat in the tournament to crown the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Championship featuring Kayden Carter, Raquel Rodriguez, and Zoey Stark. Pretty physical matchup and they did a good job keeping the triple-threat smooth. Zoey Stark would advance after a pin on Carter.

WWE World Tag Team Championship

The next match would see War Raiders challenge Judgment Day for the World Tag Team Championship. This was a great back-and-forth with War Raiders looking strong and doing crazy athletic feats for people their size with The Judgment Day able to keep it interesting with small comebacks off reversals only to be slammed back down. Both teams had great false finishes that only got more exciting the further the match went. At the end of the match Damian Priest would make a surprise appearance to stop Finn Balor from using a steel chair. This would result in War Raiders hitting War Machine and becoming the new World Tag Team Champions after a match worthy of a premium live event.
