At both club and international level, there were a few great soccer teams 1990s. The greatest sides of this decade were mostly European teams, but you can never discount Brazil. These were seven great soccer teams from the 1990s.

1992: Barcelona (Spanish League Champions and European Champions)

This Barcelona team was the best in Spain and were Spanish league champions. In 1992, they would win the first European Cup for the club. With players like Stoichkov, they played some terrific soccer.

1994: Brazil (World Cup Winners)

The 1994 Brazil team went on to win the FIFA World Cup. This Brazil team could defend well but also had attacking potency. They had some great players, like Romario, who would score the goals for Brazil to win another World Cup. This was maybe not the best Brazil team ever, but it was still one of the finest teams of the decade.

1994: AC-Milan (European Champions and Serie A Title)

In the Champions League, AC-Milan has had some of the greatest teams. In the 1994 Champions League final, they played Barcelona, which was not the easiest team. For Milan, they would sweep aside the Catalan club by four goals to zero in one of the most comprehensive final wins. Milan was also Champions League runners-up in 1995.

1995: Ajax (European Champions, Eredivisie Title, and Dutch Cup)

Comfortably the best team in Holland, Ajax was another of those teams that made two Champions League finals. This great Ajax team defeated AC Milan 1-0 to lift the Champions League (European Cup) trophy. They reached the final again in 1996 but could not repeat the triumph. Ajax also won the league and cup in Holland during the 1995 season to win a treble.

1996: Juventus (Champions League Runners up and Serie A Title)

At club level, the Juventus team of 1996 won the Champions League. This team had players like Del Piero and Vialli, who would score the goals for Juventus to lift the trophy. In 1997, they would reach the final again, only to be beaten by Dortmund. In addition, Juventus won domestic trophies like the Serie A title.

1998: France (World Cup Winners)

Great Soccer teams

This was France’s first World Cup-winning side. The team had great players in defense and midfield positions, such as Zidane, Viera, Deschamps, and Henry (who was more of a winger then). In the World Cup final, they defeated Brazil 3-0 to win the World Cup.

1999: Manchester Utd (Champions League, Premier League Title, and FA Cup)

Manchester Utd had great double and treble-winning teams during the 1999s. Most Man Utd fans would likely agree that the treble-winning side of 1999 was the best of them all. This was a side with a terrific Cole Yorke strike partnership that propelled it to the Premier League, FA Cup, and Champions League treble. Solskjær and Sheringham were also big heroes of that team who scored the late goals against Bayern Munich in the Champions League to seal the treble.

End of My Great Soccer Teams From the 1990s Rant

Barcelona, Brazil, Manchester Utd, AC Milan, Ajax, Juventus and France had the best teams of the 1990s. The sides above are among the great soccer teams in history generally. They won trophies at club, European, and international levels, and had many fine players.
