Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe has been performing more than well recently. He managed to pass a record owned by Ronaldo Nazario, but he remains humble.
Kylian Mbappe, Real Madrid’s star, has been breaking records this season with the team. This might make some players become ignorant if they were in the same position, but Mbappe isn’t like that.
Mbappe managed to score two goals in Real Madrid’s win over Villarreal. This made him reach 31 goals across all competitions, which isn’t something easy to do.
With 20 of his 31 goals being in La Liga, Mbappe is becoming a nightmare for opponents.
According to The Daily Mail, Mbappe surpassed Ronaldo Nazario’s record of goals scored in his debut season at Real Madrid.
Now, Mbappe is coming closer to passing Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 33 goals across all competitions in his debut season.
People have already started comparing between Mbappe and Brazilian Ronaldo plus Cristiano. Everyone is anticipating the moment he will pass the later, but Mbappe remains humble. He said to club media:
“They’re [Ronaldo and Cristiano] legends who have defined an era. It’s important, but it’s all about numbers. If I score more goals than Ronaldo and Cristiano, it doesn’t mean I’m bigger, it just means my first season is going better. The important thing is to help and win titles. Scoring goals is important, but even more so if we win La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey.”
Mbappe did the right thing with what he said and deciding to remain humble. It’s still too early for him to be compared to Ronaldo and Cristiano’s successes at Real Madrid.
He has a lot of time to score more goals and prove himself even more. If he kept up this performance, he might become one of the club’s legends one day. Maybe then we can compare him to the two legends.
