With the Cleveland Browns’ 2025 season officially in the books, attention now turns to what the roster could look like in 2026. This year’s draft is very critical to upgrading the roster, and with two first-round picks, the Browns have a prime opportunity to add high-end talent.
6. Francis Mauigoa, OT/G, Miami (FL)

The decision at No. 6 overall ultimately comes down to whether the Browns want to build from the trenches or add a playmaker on the outside for their 2026 quarterback. While selecting a wide receiver might be more flashy, the smarter long-term move is to invest in the offensive line.
Passing on one of this year’s top receiving prospects, such as Carnell Tate, Jordyn Tyson, or Makai Lemon, is not easy. Cleveland’s receiving corps ranked among the league’s worst in 2025, but pairing a talented receiver with a shaky offensive line would do little to elevate the offense. Without consistency up front, it is hard for any offense to play at a high level.
Francis Mauigoa stands out as the best offensive lineman prospect in this class, according to several analysts. His versatility to play both tackle and guard would give Cleveland flexibility in determining where to place him in 2026.
Mauigoa has been a key part of one of college football’s best offensive lines over the past two seasons. At 6-foot-6, 335 pounds, and just 20 years old, he profiles as a foundational piece the Browns could build around for years to come.
28. KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M

After passing on a wide receiver at No. 6, circling back to the position at No. 28 makes plenty of sense. Wide receiver depth at the back of the first round should work in the Browns’ favor, with multiple impact options likely still on the board.
One of those guys is KC Concepcion, who has been productive throughout his college career. This past season, he hauled in 61 passes for 919 yards and nine touchdowns, while also adding a rushing score and two punt return touchdowns.
At 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, Concepcion does raise some durability concerns at the next level. As a result, he may not profile as a true No. 1 receiver in the NFL, but he has all the tools to develop into a high-end No. 2 option.
Concepcion’s smooth route running and ability to stretch the field are what make him a first-round caliber prospect. He would give Cleveland a dynamic weapon on offense and could thrive as a complementary piece once the Browns find their long-term No. 1 receiver.
39. Gennings Dunker, OT/G, Iowa

After addressing wide receiver at the back end of the first round, it would make sense for the Browns to circle back to the offensive line at No. 39. At that spot, Gennings Dunker projects as one of the best available options to continue to build upfront.
At 6-foot-5 and 316 pounds, Dunker would be a strong addition to Cleveland’s offensive line. Like Mauigoa, he offers the versatility to play both tackle and guard, giving the Browns flexibility as they sort out their starting five. At 22 years old, Dunker brings both experience and a level of NFL readiness that should make him a day-one starter.
70. Carter Smith, OT, Indiana

At No. 70, the Browns should continue to shore up their offensive line. Indiana Hoosiers tackle and Ohio native Carter Smith would be an ideal addition.
Smith has been outstanding for head coach Curt Cignetti and Indiana this season. Standing 6-foot-6 and weighing 315 pounds, he has the size and skill set to contribute immediately at the next level. Smith’s performance in the 2025 season earned him Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year honors, as well as being named a consensus All-American.
End Of My Cleveland Browns Draft Rant

As we move closer to April’s NFL Draft, more prospects will emerge as potential fits for the Browns. This year’s draft should focus on building the offensive line and adding weapons to ensure that whoever lines up at quarterback in 2026 has every opportunity to succeed.
If that quarterback struggles, Cleveland can always use their first-round pick in 2027 to select their long-term option. That player would step into a team with a solid foundation already in place, giving them the best chance to thrive from day one.
