Week Five Bold Predictions: Eagles At Cardinals

The Philadelphia Eagles remain undefeated after their matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Eagles hit our running bold predictions with three rushing touchdowns and over 200 yards. The team is still firing on all cylinders and has shown they can win through adversity. After a rainy game, this offense is ready to explode in the desert. Here are the Week Five bold predictions.

Bold Predictions Part One: Oklahoma Shoot Out

Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray will be the best test for this defense this year. Despite the weakness at wide receiver for Arizona, Murray would be in the MVP conversation if his team was not sitting at 2-2. Jalen Hurts and Murray are making Oklahoma Sooner fans happy and will put on a show. The two quarterbacks will combine for 700+ passing yards and seven touchdowns.

Hurts did not get to air it out last week, but the desert is nice and dry for the MVP candidate. Murray may have a more challenging time doing this against the Eagles’ defense, but he will need to put on a clinic to make this competitive.

Jalen Hurts’ stat line: 27 for 40, 320+ yards, and four touchdowns.

Kyler Murray’s stat line: 33 for 50, 380+ yards, and three touchdowns.

Bold Predictions Part Two: A.J. Brown Game

A.J. Brown is third in the NFL in receiving yards. Brown is the only receiver on this team who shows up week in and out but is about to take it to another level. Brown will set the Eagles’ single-game record for yards with 250 yards. Brown’s yardage would break a 61-year record held by Tommy McDonald with 237.

Brown has had big yardage games but only scored once this season. That also changes as Brown scores three touchdowns to help push his Eagles’ to victory.

A.J. Brown’s stat line: 15 targets, 14 catches, 250 yards, and three touchdowns.

Bold Predictions Part Three: Zach Ertz Revenge Game

Is it still revenge if there is no bad blood on the surface? Philadelphia loves Zach Ertz and he will finally be playing his former team. Ertz has plenty left in the tank. In 15 games since being traded, he has racked up 755 yards on 78 receptions. Ertz brings out a classic performance today with 100+ yards and two scores against his former team. Ertz has not had a 100+ yard game since 2019 with Carson Wentz. Murray and Ertz will show a similar connection when Darius Slay makes Marquise Brown unavailable.

Zach Ertz’s stat line: 14 targets, 9 catches, 104 yards, and two touchdowns.

Bold Predictions Bonus: Dicker The Kicker

With Jake Elliot looking like a scratch for Sunday, former University of Texas kicker, Cameron Dicker is filling in. Not saying he takes Elliot’s place, but Dicker will put on a kicking show. Dicker will go five for five on PATs and hit a 40+ yard field goal that will prove pivotal down the stretch.

Many players have one big game for the Eagles and the fans remember them forever. Dicker is going to be a Travis Fulgham-level legend. His short stay will mean the world to the city after he puts on a good performance.

Final Thoughts

The Eagles make these bold predictions difficult to create. Philadelphia has hit one or been close every single week, so turning up the heat is the only way. Let’s hope it stays that way because it means they are winning games.
