Ron “R-Truth” Killings’ stunning return to WWE during Saturday’s Money in the Bank event is the hottest topic in wrestling this week. Buried underneath all the fervor, however, is a comeback for Nikki Bella, one of the biggest names of the Divas era.

During the broadcast, Nikki Bella was announced to be appearing on this Monday’s episode of Raw. The two-time Divas champion and Hall of Famer had last appeared at the Royal Rumble – her first match in three years.

With that being said, what should be expected from this run?

Chasing Tag Gold

As mentioned before, Nikki Bella is a two-time Divas Champion. In fact, her second reign is the longest in the title’s history. In the post-Divas era, however, she has never held a title.

That is not to say Nikki was not going to be a contender sometime during that period, though. Back in 2023, Jessie McKay and Cassie Lee revealed that they were going to feud with Nikki and Brie over the Women’s Tag Team titles in 2019.

It would have ended at SummerSlam, and while they never said how, one can surmise that the Bellas would have won for a major face pop. Fittingly, the current title holders are also heels: Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

The division is still reeling from events that have gutted it of depth. Morgan just recently returned from shooting a movie, during which Roxanne Perez manipulated her way into the Judgment Day. Names like Dakota Kai, Shayna Baszler, and Cora Jade were let go. Still, there is some hope left.

A Judgment Day-Bella Twins feud could give the titles some much-needed revitalization and open up new feuds.

A Cinderella Singles Run?

The other possibility for Nikki’s plans is contending for a singles title – something she has not done since fighting Ronda Rousey in 2018. Luckily for her, she has plenty of options now.

In addition to the two top-tier titles, there are now two midcard titles. By contending for either, Nikki can reassert herself as a top-tier performer without being accused of waltzing her way into the status.

End Of My Nikki Bella-WWE Rant

For years, fans had been clamoring for AJ Lee to return, and not without good reason: she is legitimately one of the best women to ever perform in a WWE ring. Besides, with her husband CM Punk currently back in the company after his notorious 2014 walkout, seeing the two wrestle together would be euphoric.

Alas, that is not happening anytime soon. Thus, they should instead gladly settle for one of her best and most famous rivals in Nikki Bella. Whether it becomes the most glorious run of her career is up to Triple H.
