WrestleMania 41 is April 19-20, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. John Cena shocked the WWE Universe when he hit Cody Rhodes with a low-blow to springboard his heel turn. With so many unanswered questions around Cena’s faction with The Rock, which is expected to expand, what could one expect when the event is said and done?

WrestleMania 41: Cena To Look Defeated, Then Debut Faction-Mate

Cena earned this opportunity after winning the Elimination Chamber. Perhaps using foreshadowing, he did not earn his way into that match, being the only person not to win their way in. From there, The Rock has taken him under his wing, into his faction, with promises of championships and anything he could imagine. During the heel turn, The Rock made an interesting gesture to Cena, implying there may be two more members to join the faction.

Ric Flair is the leader with 16 world title runs. Cena tied that feat back in 2017, and WWE has been teasing the record-breaking 17th title reign ever since. He is much more of a WWE guy than Flair, so it makes sense for WWE to book him well on the way out.

Cena is destined to win this match. From the unexpected heel turn to becoming WWE’s most decorated world champion, it’s just a matter of how. The answer to that may answer further questions that the WWE Universe has. They will want to book both men strong, but how can they do that in a loss?

Expect him to get number 17 via greasy heel antics. The Rock will get involved, but Cody Rhodes is expecting him. It will take the new member(s) of the faction to overthrow the current babyface champion.

End Of My WrestleMania Rant

It will appear Cody is lined up for a successful defense, overcoming the odds of John Cena and The Rock. The debuting member(s) are unexpected and unplanned for. Cena will win the world title, launching Rhodes into a comeback babyface story, winning it back at SummerSlam, despite Cena’s claim to take the title home with him. He is already slated for events after WrestleMania, and a babyface is always a more compelling challenger than a champion. Expect a changing of the guard at SummerSlam, but not before more fuel is added to the flame.
