Manchester City have recently announced that Kevin De Bruyne would be leaving the club. There is no time to mourn the legend since City already have their eyes set on someone they consider to be De Bruyne’s successor.
Who Are Manchester City After?
According to Sky Sports, Manchester City are after AC Milan’s talent Tijjani Reijnders. The Netherlands international is now a target for the club and they are hoping that they would be able to sign him.
According to Italian sports journalist Matteo Moretto, City has already made an offer estimated to be €60million. The Italian side however, believes that it’s not enough.
City Not Giving Up
Despite the initial rejection, the club is still keen on landing Reijnders. According to Sport Witness, City are prepared to send a new offer. Apparently, Milan won’t sell Reijnders unless they receive a €70million proposal.
Money might not be an issue for Manchester City who are looking to bolster their team after their horrible season. Not to mention that they consider Reijnders to be the New De Bruyne. Due to this, the publication reported that Pep Guardiola and City wants the Netherlands international “immediately.”
Reijnders Is Interested
It seems that the interest is mutual. Reijnders is said to be excited about the possibility of joining Manchester City. After all, who wouldn’t want to train under Guardiola?
The 26-year-old believes that such a move would be quite beneficial for his career and will only help him grow as a player.
Another reason that is making Italian press believes that Reijnders is heading to City is that he canceled a vacation he has already planned. This might not be the sign they believe it is, but only time would tell.
He Would Be A Great Addition
With Reijnders’ talent, saying that he would be the new De Bruyne is a possibility. If he was to train under Guardiola, he will have a lot of chances to develop.
He has already proved himself as a talented player during his time at AC Milan. Just last season, he managed to score 10 goals and register four assists.
The €70million fee might not be an obstacle for Manchester City. They are ready to spend a lot more to prepare for this upcoming season. The club’s fans will certainly be looking forward to seeing a lot of improvements.

End Of My Manchester City Rant
Manchester City are already making the right moves with them seeking new talented players. They have great players already, but with De Bruyne out, it’s time to find his successor. Reijnders could be the answer.
