LeBron James is the hottest name on the NBA free agency market. The rumors have been swirling all offseason as to where the greatest to ever play the sport will play, potentially in his final season. The list that originally appeared to be upwards of ten teams appears to be down to just three. Here’s a look at how LeBron fits on each of those teams.

Miami Heat

The Miami Heat are a strange fit, but it does make some sense as to why they are in the final three. Recently acquired Giannis Antetokounmpo has already voiced his opinion on wanting LeBron to join Miami. The defense would help LeBron stay fresh in his age-42 season. With that being said, that’s the end of the benefits. The offense would be strange, with very little spacing. The scoring output apart from the frontcourt, would be nonexistent. A good team on paper, but the fit doesn’t work very well.

Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers have jumped into the driver’s seat in this pursuit of LeBron. It is obvious as to why they are the favorites. Why wouldn’t he want to end his career where it all started? He still has strong relationships in the organization, most notably with assistant GM Brandon Weems. The two have been friends dating all the way back to high school.

Philadelphia 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers have the best fit in terms of pure basketball for LeBron. He wouldn’t need to be that heavy-workload scorer who is tasked with carrying the team when the times get tough. The 76ers already have three of those guys. Instead, he would come in and be one of the primary ball handlers, setting the table for one of the most high-powered offenses in the NBA. If he wants another championship, this may be the path.

End Of My LeBron James NBA Free Agency Rumors Rant

LeBron has a rough decision to make in terms of his immediate future. The two favorites seem to be Cleveland and Philadelphia, but each side has a completely different pitch. Will he choose the team he grew up with and brought championship glory with all those years ago? Or will he go to the best basketball fit and try to win his fifth championship in his legendary career?
