Fantasy Football Week 4 is a running back-heavy waiver week. After Week 3, we have three major RB injuries that change everything:
- De’Von Achane (MIA) – torn ACL in Week 3 – out long-term, could be serious per coach Jeff Hafley
- Breece Hall (NYJ) – quad/thigh injury, week-to-week, expected to miss Week 4
- Travis Etienne Jr. (NO) – out at least 3 weeks, possible IR
If you need a running back to play this week, Braelon Allen is the back to target

Fantasy Football Week 4 TOP 5 MUST-ADD PICKUPS
1. Braelon Allen, RB, New York Jets (4.7% rostered Week 3)
Why: Hall is week-to-week with quad, Allen steps into massive role vs Chicago Bears in Week 4. He will score the most fantasy points this week of any RB on waiver. Favorable matchup, goal-line role. FAAB: 35-40%
2. Jaylen Wright, RB, Miami Dolphins (vs Ollie Gordon II)
Contrary to popular belief, Wright is the RB to pick up in Miami. Gordon only handled carries because Wright was sidelined with a stinger + minor foot injury in Week 2 and was inactive in Week 3. Wright has been clear RB2 since last season, listed RB2 on depth chart, out-carried Gordon 3-0 before injury. Wright = 60% of carries + passing down work when healthy, day-to-day for Week 4.
- Ollie Gordon II, RB, Dolphins (14.5 FPTS in Week 3) is also viable: 17 carries for 41 yards + 3 catches + TD after Achane left. He is the healthier immediate start but costs more. Let league-mates fight over Gordon, you scoop Wright as the smarter long-term stash.
3. Roman Wilson, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers (13.6 FPTS Week 3)
Why: Exactly 6 targets in each of first 3 games, 3 catches for 60 yards + TD in Week 3 vs Bengals. With Aaron Rodgers throwing 23.68 FPTS (almost 300 yards, 3 TDs) and Pittman Jr. back, Wilson stayed involved. Next 2 weeks vs Browns & Colts – both top-10 in fantasy points allowed to WR. Must-add WR1 of the week.
4. Kenyon Sadiq, TE, New York Jets (26.5 FPTS Week 3)
Rookie TE breakout: 7 catches for 105 yards + first NFL TD from Geno Smith, earned more looks with Adonai Mitchell & Mason Taylor out. Shaken up but returned. Tight end is a wasteland, he is immediate TE1 streamer.
5. Geno Smith, QB, New York Jets (30.04 FPTS Week 3)
Completed 31-of-37 for 321 yards, 3 TDs + 2-pt conversion vs Lions. Next 3 of 4 defenses rank top-10 in fantasy points allowed to QBs: @ Bears (short week), vs Browns, @ Patriots, vs Dolphins. Top streaming QB.

BEST STREAMERS FOR Fantasy Football Week 4
QB Streamers:
- Geno Smith vs Bears – 30-point upside, 3 favorable matchups ahead
- Marcus Mariota (WAS) vs NYJ – Listed as top QB target alongside Geno

TE Streamers:
- Kenyon Sadiq vs Bears, Mike Gesicki (CIN), Darren Waller (CAR)
D/ST Streamers – Top 5 for Week 4:
- Buffalo Bills D/ST vs Patriots – 2 sacks + INT vs Chargers in Week 3, stood strong holding Chargers out after 1st quarter. Host turnover-prone Patriots next. Forced 3 turnovers + multiple sacks in each of 3 wins to start season.
- Commanders D/ST vs Colts (11 FPTS vs Seahawks last week)
- Jaguars D/ST (16 FPTS vs Pats in Week 3) but tough vs Bengals

End Of My Fantasy Football Week 4 What NOT to Do
- Don’t spend big on Ollie Gordon II as RB1 long-term – He will be second option behind Wright and get goal-line work only, in worst offense that just lost best player
- Don’t start either Miami RB in Week 4 vs Vikings – terrible matchup, will be shut down
- Alvin Kamara is volume-based only with Etienne out, not pretty but leads in carries/targets ahead of Kendre Miller
- Keaton Mitchell, LAC – Boom-or-bust FLEX: 8 carries + 3 targets, 52 yards (6.5 YPC) + receiving TD in Week 3
