The fantasy football regular season is winding down, meaning the playoffs are getting oh so close. It is now time to consider the bigger picture. Think beyond just this week, which players can help win the whole thing?
Bhayshul Tuten has had the attention of many fantasy football managers the entire year. He was on many pre-draft sleeper lists, and his opportunity may have finally arrived. Tuten was given more opportunities than he’s seen all season on Sunday, and his role looks to be expanding. He should absolutely be rostered after this week. Tuten exited Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers with an injury, so that is something to keep an eye on.
Darren Waller is currently on IR, but it is expected that he will return this season. The Miami Dolphins TEs have the easiest schedule for the fantasy football playoffs. Stashing Waller before he returns could be a move that wins leagues. He showed good production earlier in the season, and the favorable matchups should benefit him once he returns.
Chris Rodriguez emerged as the Washington Commanders’ lead back on Sunday. He had 15 carries for 79 rushing yards against the Miami Dolphins. This backfield has been one to stay away from all season, but if Rodriguez out-carrys the others this much, he deserves a spot on fantasy rosters.
Luther Burden deserves strong consideration as a waiver add thanks to a clear rise in opportunity and production. His role has expanded each week, with coaches designing touches that highlight his speed and versatility. With his snap share climbing and his usage trending in the right direction, Burden could be a high-upside pickup who could become a weekly starting flex option.
Sean Tucker is the guy for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers if Bucky Irving remains out. He has been outplaying Rachaad White, and on Sunday, he earned the playing time to show for it. He dominated on the ground against the Buffalo Bills. He may not warrant a waiver claim due to the uncertainty regarding Irving and his availability, but he is certainly one to keep an eye on throughout the week.
Pat Bryant had the best game of his rookie campaign on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. He produced 13.2 fantasy points (five receptions for 82 yards). The Denver Broncos have not had a steady receiving game all season, with multiple players contributing to the effort. If the offense can sustain three different receivers producing, then Bryant would be worthy of an add. For now, he could be considered in deeper leagues.
Michael Wilson had the best game of any wide receiver in the entire NFL this season. He did it all apart from finding the end zone. Wilson tallied 15 receptions for 185 yards, helping Jacoby Brissett set an NFL record for completions in a game with 47. Wilson would be most valuable if Marvin Harrison Jr misses another week, but with Brissett at QB, he should still see good action throughout the remainder of the season.
Fantasy football is won on the waiver wire. Whether it is ten-man leagues or deeper leagues, these targets will help anyone in need of an impact heading into the fantasy playoffs.
