Many rookies will be great assets in fantasy football this season. Players like Ashton Jeanty and Travis Hunter are receiving high praise and being drafted early. These are three rookies who have great upside and could turn out to be steals late in fantasy drafts.

Dylan Sampson

Dylan Sampson has a huge opportunity to take advantage of in the Cleveland Browns’ backfield. The fourth-round pick will be competing with Jerome Ford for early-season touches as Quinshon Judkins continues to be unsigned, as he is under investigation by the NFL.

Sampson has already earned first-team reps in practice and may be in line for a starting job in week one. He is a good pass blocker and is able to catch passes when needed. Both things should help him get on the field as he proves himself in preseason and practice.

Sampson is currently being picked as the fantasy RB55 behind guys who may not see consistent touches all season, like Rico Dowdle and Tyler Allgeier. He is also the third Browns RB coming off the board in fantasy drafts, and he could be the most productive depending on Judkins’ investigation results and potential suspension.

Jack Bech

Jack Bech landed in a perfect spot for a rookie receiver. He will get plenty of opportunity and could end up as WR2 behind Jakob Meyers, and may be in the top three on the Las Vegas Raiders in targets. His main competition for a starting role is fellow rookie Dont’e Thornton, who has looked great in camp.

Bech is being drafted as the fantasy WR65, behind many receivers that won’t see nearly the same targets as him. He has elite hands and will become a sure-fire target of Geno Smith. By the end of the season, he realistically could be seeing eight targets a game and averaging more than five receptions. Bech is at the very least deserving of a bench spot at the beginning of the season.

Bhayshul Tuten

Bhayshul Tuten is in an interesting situation as he is an extremely talented RB, but the opportunity may not present itself in his rookie year. He is currently behind Travis Etienne and Tank Bigsby on the depth chart and likely will start the season with very few touches. His skillset features elite speed combined with power back traits, which is rare for such a small running back.

Tuten is currently being drafted as the fantasy RB46, which, for his current situation, seems fair. The reason for optimism is his physical traits and game-breaking speed. He could find himself in a much bigger role on offense if he can improve his pass blocking and ball security issues. It seems like a lot of question marks, but the upside is there, and Tuten should be in consideration late in fantasy drafts.

End Of My Fantasy Football Rant

Fantasy football is all about finding upside and value, and a rookie in a new system with apparent opportunities is just where to find it. These three players are perfect to draft late and stash on the bench until their eventual breakouts.
