Chase Briscoe has been as fast as anyone on the track during his first season at Joe Gibbs Racing. He has been the best qualifier in the field and has backed it up on Sundays, as he has the third most top 5 finishes.

Briscoe got his break in the NASCAR Cup Series with Stewart-Haas Racing, but they shut down facilities last season. He moved on quickly and signed a deal to replace Martin Truex Jr. at JGR. His new equipment is faster than anything he’s been in before.

Once Briscoe settled in, he started becoming a top guy in the NASCAR field. Briscoe and crew chief James Small have developed a relationship now that allows Small to make the proper adjustments for his new driver. After a turbulent beginning to his 2025, he has gotten everything rolling and is beginning to look like a real championship contender.

Recent Sucess

Briscoe has put together a string of great finishes, and a major reason for that has been his success during qualifying. He has a series-leading six pole positions and has not started outside of the top ten since June.

Briscoe has led laps in nine of his last eleven races and always finds himself up front at some point in the race. His ten top five finishes only trail Denny Hamlin and Kyle Larson for the series lead. He is on an amazing run, and the timing could not be more perfect. With only two races remaining until the playoffs, he will be carrying his momentum right into the round of 16.

End Of My Chase Briscoe Rant

Briscoe has a great chance at the NASCAR championship, and the playoff schedule is also extremely favorable to him. The championship race is at Phoenix, the same track where he earned his first NASCAR Cup Series victory. The rounds before that feature some of Briscoe’s best tracks as well. The round of 16 kicks off at Darlington, another track where he has won. Martinsville is his best track, and that pops up in the round of eight.

Briscoe has a great mix of momentum and confidence going into the playoffs, and his success at the remaining tracks should put the rest of the field on notice. He can easily win a race in each round of the playoffs and plow through the competition on his way to a championship.
