Pro wrestler Alberto El Patron has been suspended from pro wrestling in a location. Yes, again! It’s hard to keep track of how many times he has been suspended in a pro wrestling company, the number has to be in the double digits. Just look back at his time in WWE when he wrestled as Alberto Del Rio. It was filled with controversy and now with this latest stunt, it is a lengthy suspension.
What Alberto El Patron’s Been Doing The Past Few Years

Alberto El Patron is currently wrestling for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide wrestling. He is also the current AAA Mega Champion and has held the title since August. El Patron has been with AAA since March of 2023 which is the first major promotion he’s been a part of since his tenure in Impact Wrestling in 2018. For the past few years, he’s mainly been in the independent circuit and has had brief stints in MMA and UFC. It was sad seeing a man who was once on top of the wrestling world and selling out arenas, to barely getting over 50 people to watch him at a show. Then the realization comes of his history and it’s hard to feel bad for the guy. Especially in this latest incident, and it’s definitely not a pretty one for him.
The Latest Incident With El Patron

What happened was on March 14th, 2025. Alberto El Patron during his match against El Hijo del Dr Wagner, El Patron left the ring to confront a fan. Now keep in mind that fans at night were throwing quarters at him which was not cool and El Patron was very angry. He went to a fan in the stands and he was arguing with several people, and decided to go in the crowd and throw a chair at the fans. The worst part is that the chair hit an innocent woman who had to be hospitalized due to her injuries. But wait, there is more bad news, the entire thing was filmed and trending all over social media.
El Patron’s Suspension

As a result of what happened, Alberto El Patron has been suspended from competing in Tijuana for 6 months. Now keep in mind he can wrestle in Mexico, but not in Tijuana. However, this has gotten him and AAA in a lot of heat with the Tijuana commission suspending him. With the bad press this also gives the company, there is a legit chance that AAA decides to either strip him of the title or drop it in the next few months.
End Of My Rant – Why Nobody Should Be Surprised By This

The most shocking thing about this story is the fact that any pro wrestling company would want to hire Alberto even after all the stuff that came out about him. Honestly, this man should be a topic in a future Dark Side of the Ring episode. He was once on top of the world as one of the top heels in WWE. Not only as a world champion, but also winning the 40-man Royal Rumble match in 2011. Then he just fell apart after many controversial moments and getting fired from multiple different promotions.
He’s pretty much been blackballed from pro wrestling for good reasons. Heck, go look up his relationship with AEW wrestler Saraya (Paige in WWE). That was a definition of a toxic relationship and neither of them comes across well at all. He would be perfect for that show to do an episode on, and to be honest, it’s a shame. Hopefully, he gets his act together and this is the wake-up call, but Alberto has had plenty of those. The dude yet again proved that he is a tremendous piece of work and a liability,
My question to those reading is, are you surprised by this news? Is Alberto El Patron too far gone? Would you say he is a future Dark Side of the Ring candidate?
