“Michael Jordan is the greatest player I’ve ever watched,” Wade stated. He also mentioned that LeBron James is the greatest player he has ever seen.
The distinction resembles the difference between hearing and listening. Wade did not compete with or against Michael Jordan, as he retired shortly before Wade entered the league. Conversely, he has played with and against James, offering him a different experience.
The term “watch” denotes a deliberate, often extended, and intentional act of observing something, particularly something in motion, such as a television program or a sporting event. In contrast, the term “see” can be more passive and involuntary in nature.
Wade conveys that, in his opinion, Jordan is viewed as the greatest of all time, while James is considered the greatest of his generation. This stance serves to diplomatically acknowledge diverse perspectives and reduce potential conflict.
Wade observed Jordan’s growth through television rather than in person. He witnessed James’s abilities firsthand. While this idea should be straightforward, some may attempt to misinterpret his statements.

Jordan and James are clearly the top two people. The order in which others mention them is not disrespectful. It is perfectly fine to have different opinions without being offended.
