The 2025 NFL season is eight weeks in, and the picture is starting to form. We’re seeing which teams are actually good, which ones are bad, and frankly, which ones are just confusing.
This season has been wildly unpredictable, but we’ll give it a shot anyway. Here are the Week 8 NFL predictions.
After starting the season 3-0, the Chargers now have a 4-3 record coming off a 38-24 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Injuries have taken a toll on this team, and they’re struggling to find their footing again.
The Vikings lost a close game to the resurging 5-2 Philadelphia Eagles. In a 28-22 effort, it’s still evident they’re weak at quarterback. It’s hard not to take the Bolts in this one.
Winner: Los Angeles Chargers
The Ravens are coming back from a desperately needed bye week. They’re 1-5 and sorely missing Lamar Jackson, who may still suit up. Regardless of his status, the injury bug has torn this team to shreds.
The Bears are on a four-game hot streak ahead of this matchup. Caleb Williams wasn’t lighting it up last week, but Ben Johnson’s coaching seems to be finding a rhythm. The Ravens are in disarray at the moment, and Chicago is playing extremely good football.
Winner: Chicago Bears
The Browns just laid a 31-6 beating on the Miami Dolphins, but that’s not saying a ton. The Dolphins are a mess right now, and the Browns’ offense seemingly runs through rookie running back Quinshon Judkins.
The Patriots are 5-2 and leading the AFC East. Drake Maye is entering MVP conversations under head coach Mike Vrabel. The Pats might be playoff contenders in December, the Browns won’t be.
Winner: New England Patriots
The Giants are coming off a heartbreaker in Denver, but Jaxson Dart might officially be the QB they’ve been looking for. Big Blue’s future is bright, but they’re going up against a revenge-seeking Eagles team.
After being embarrassed by the Giants in Week 6, the Eagles bounced back to beat the Vikings. Jalen Hurts looked as good as ever, and A.J. Brown had two touchdowns. Regardless of their last meeting, it’s ridiculously unlikely that the Giants sweep the Eagles.
Winner: Philadelphia Eagles
The Dolphins are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Browns, and Mike McDaniel’s seat is so hot, he’s considering a change at QB. This team is a trainwreck on the verge of hitting the reset button.
The Falcons had a rough game against the 49ers, but their defense has become something scary. If the offensive line can hold up, there’s no reason for Atlanta not to dominate.
Winner: Atlanta Falcons
The 4-2 Bills will head to Carolina to face the 4-3 Panthers, just as we all predicted. The Bills are coming back from a bye week and hoping to bounce back from two straight losses.
This game might be a ton of fun, but Bryce Young is likely to miss it with a high ankle sprain. Veteran QB Andy Dalton will be under center for Carolina on Sunday. This is the perfect chance for Buffalo to find some momentum after the break.
Winner: Buffalo Bills
The Jets are 0-7 and are considering benching Justin Fields for Tyrod Taylor this week. They’re statistically and literally the worst team in football.
The Bengals are riding high after a primetime shootout win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Joe Flacco has brought competence back to Cincy’s offense in Joe Burrow’s absence. These two teams feel like polar opposites going into Sunday.
Winner: Cincinnati Bengals
The 49ers are seemingly being carried on Christian McCaffrey’s back, but it’s working. Without Brock Purdy, Brandon Aiyuk, and Ricky Pearsall, San Francisco is 5-2.
The Texans have become a shell of their former selves, and the offense isn’t even fun to watch. The defense is keeping them in the game, but it’s still not enough. The Niners have more firepower, even while they’re missing key players.
Winner: San Francisco 49ers
The 1-6 Saints are still the Saints. Spencer Rattler threw three interceptions last week in a 26-14 loss to the Bears. It’s important to note, this is a division game, so anything’s possible.
The Buccaneers were shut down by the Detroit Lions on Monday Night Football in a 24-9 loss. Losing to the Lions is nothing to be ashamed of; losing to the Saints is. Baker Mayfield is too good to drop this one.
Winner: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
One of the NFL’s most exciting offenses will meet arguably its best defense. The Cowboys have scored more than 30 points in three of their last four games, but their defense has allowed plenty as well.
The Broncos looked lost for three quarters against the Giants, until a fourth-quarter surge saw them score 33 points for the win. This team is finding ways to win games, but they’re certainly suspect. The Giants dropped 32 on them; the Cowboys should be able to do more than that.
Winner: Dallas Cowboys
This will either be the biggest upset of the weekend or the lock of the year. The 6-1 Colts will host the 1-6 Titans in a division matchup, and this shouldn’t even be close.
Winner: Indianapolis Colts
The Steelers might be reeling from an upset loss to the Joe Flacco-led Bengals. The offense looked great, but the defense faltered in the biggest moments.
The Packers have a habit of playing down to their opponents. They narrowly defeated the Arizona Cardinals 27-23. This team is far better than they allow themselves to be, and they’ll play at another level when they go to Pittsburgh.
Winner: Green Bay Packers
There’s thankfully only one game on Monday night this week, and it could be a fun matchup. Jayden Daniels injured his hamstring on Sunday, and Marcus Mariota will be under center.
The Chiefs are on a hot streak, and they seem to be back to normal. They outclassed the Detroit Lions and dominated the Las Vegas Raiders. No matter who starts at QB for Washington, it probably won’t matter.
Winner: Kansas City Chiefs
This time of the season sees fewer matchups due to bye weeks. With the Cardinals, Lions, Raiders, Jacksonville Jaguars, Los Angeles Rams, and Seattle Seahawks all getting their break this week. There are plenty of great matchups regardless, and we’re entering the second half of the season soon. Everything matters from here on out.
