In the past few weeks, there have been a few notable names from NXT that have gotten more time on the main roster. One of those names is professional wrestler Giulia. Many have wondered if this meant a permanent call-up to the main roster. Well, it turns out to be true in the latest segment on Friday Night SmackDown.

Nick Aldis during last Friday night’s episode confirmed it during a backstage segment that included Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair. This announcement on Smackdown makes her the 2nd confirmed call-up from NXT to Smackdown. The first was the tag team Fraxiom (Nathan Frazier and Axiom) who also are on the Smackdown Brand permanently. So SmackDown is now 2-0 when it comes to call-ups from NXT this month.

Why Giulia’s Quick Call Up Shouldn’t Surprise Anyone

Giulia

This should not come as a surprise because Giulia has been public about her call-up. She wanted to go to the main roster ASAP, and she got her wish. To be honest, nobody should blame her at all. When a wrestler goes to the main roster, there is an increase in pay and more recognition. Plus, Giulia is too talented to be kept on NXT in general, and she will have a ton of fun matches on the main roster. SmackDown also desperately needed more female talent, and Giulia is perfect. On a side note, the show also needs to go back to two hours, as three hours is too long for a weekly episodic show.

This Move Makes The Past 3 Weeks Make Zero Sense

However, there is just one thing about Giulia’s call-up that makes zero sense. What was the whole point of having her and Roxanne as a tag team and featuring her on Raw if she’s just going to be a part of the SmackDown roster, along with breaking up three weeks later? It just does not make any sense at all why WWE went in that direction, especially as on NXT, both had feuds with each other.

Maybe it was to introduce her to the casual audience, but why didn’t WWE do that on SmackDown instead? She could have been utilized in a much better way over the past few weeks. However, the thing most fans agree on is that Smackdown needed Giulia more than Raw because the Smackdown Women’s division is really lacking.

So, Whats The Plan With Roxxane Perez?

With Giulia going to SmackDown, many wonder what happens with Roxanne Perez. After all, for many long months, her name has been mentioned as a call-up to the main roster. If I were to predict, I think she’s going to Raw. Especially as there was a rumored feud between her and Bayley at WrestleMania 41, but it got scrapped. While Bayley will likely be in the Intercontinental Championship chase, having Roxanne be paired with Becky Lynch would be very interesting.

End Of My Rant: Congratulations To Giulia

No matter what happens, both have a ton of potential in WWE. Giulia’s next match will be a Money in the Bank qualifying match against Charlotte Flair and Zelina Vega. Giulia has to win that match, and it’s likely Zelina Vega will take the pin. This is so Giulia can compete for money in the bank and then challenge Zelina for the US Championship in the future. It will be interesting to see how WWE utilizes her, but Congratulations to Giulia. She deserves it.
