The new WWE alliance of Paul Heyman, Seth Rollins, and Bron Breakker is now outnumbered. Last week on Raw, they scrambled out of the ring as CM Punk and Sami Zayn entered with steel chairs to stand alongside Jey Uso. While Breakker did get the last laugh for the moment after attacking Uso later on that night, ultimately, the numbers game will probably catch up to them again. “You have to wonder if the architect (Seth Rollins) has more for his game plan,” said WWE announcer Michael Cole. Could that plan be adding a third superstar to even up the score? Here are a few candidates to be the next Heyman guy.
1. Ethan Page

All Ego Ethan Page seems to be a strong candidate for joining the main roster in WWE soon. Joining forces with Heyman, Rollins, and Breakker could be the perfect entryway for this transition. He seems to fit the bill for a Heyman guy. Page is charismatic, has great in-ring ability, and also a bit arrogant and cocky.
Page, like Heyman and Rollins, does not seem to be the biggest fan of CM Punk either. This probably started with Punk being the special guest referee in his NXT Championship defense against Trick Williams. “Not too thrilled with you injecting yourself in my title match as the special guest referee,” said Page. He added that he was not in the mood for any of Punk’s drama.
The result of the match itself did not help the cause to say the least. Page had several near falls against Williams along the way, and he seemed to accuse Punk of counting slowly. Not only would Trick Williams go on to win the title, but CM Punk also hit Ethan Page with the GTS finisher after Page pushed him following the match. It is probably safe to assume that this has not set well with Page as time has passed. Perhaps the best path to revenge will be joining forces with Rollins, Breakker, and Heyman.
2. Trick Williams

Trick Williams looks to have officially turned heel following his attack on Joe Hendry at TNA Rebellion. He followed this act up by once again attacking Hendry during a six-man tag match featuring Hendry, Hank, and Tank versus DarkState. Williams has taken on a more aggressive persona and often looks angry or irritated. It reached a point where Ava forced him to leave the arena after he “crashed out” backstage. This all seems centered around his obsession and borderline entitlement regarding being a champion.
Paul Heyman may be the perfect person to help Trick Williams channel this energy. Heyman has often taken young heel talents and helped them reach the next level. A WWE main roster move could be on the horizon sooner rather than later for Williams. There was perhaps a tease in a recent segment where he stated, “I used to think that Trick Williams was NXT, but after Sunday, I see Trick Williams as bigger than NXT.” This statement may have been a way to foreshadow a move to Monday Night Raw, perhaps as a Paul Heyman guy.
3. Austin Theory

Austin Theory, the two-time WWE United States Champion, is one of the more popular and perhaps obvious candidates as the next Heyman guy. The WWE universe has grown somewhat frustrated by how Theory is being used. Once one of the biggest rising stars on the main roster, especially after becoming the youngest in the men’s division to win Money In The Bank in 2022, Theory has been used more sparingly lately. Perhaps a change in direction is needed.
Both Heyman and Theory have teased the possibility of an alliance before. While Theory was Mr. Money In The Bank, Heyman approached him with the idea of handling everything. “All you have to do is not cash in at Summerslam (versus Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar) and let me handle everything for you,” said Heyman. While Theory did not take him up on his offer, he did end the segment by stating that once he cashed in and became champion, he may need a special council of his own.
Many fans feel that Theory would be the best fit, as this faction has drawn comparisons to Evolution. Although Heyman was never an in-ring talent, like Ric Flair, he is still playing the veteran role in his own right. Then, there is one of the top stars, Seth Rollins, alongside a powerhouse in Bron Breakker. This is the same dynamic that existed with Triple H and Batista. Austin Theory could be the perfect candidate to play the Randy Orton role as the arrogant, cocky kid who has all the talent and potential to be one of the next faces of the WWE.
End Of My WWE Heyman Guy Rant
The state of the WWE is always evolving. Stars come and go, new talent emerges, and new alliances are formed. The formation of the Heyman, Rollins, and Breakker trio last month on Raw marked one of the biggest shifts in power in recent memory. Perhaps there will be one more star added to the fold to complete this new evolution in WWE.
