Manchester United has made the choice to loan Marcus Rashford to Aston Villa during the last transfer window. The loan deal might become permanent, especially since Rashford is reported to having decided how his future would look like.
The move from Manchester United to Aston Villa came after a fallout between Rashford and Ruben Amorim. Amorim has made it clear that Rashford isn’t part of his plans.
The relationship between the two led Rashford to head to Aston Villa on a loan deal. While Manchester United fans might have hoped that Rashford would return to the team after his loan, it seems that this won’t be the case.
According to The Sun, Rashford has told his friends that he feels “revitalised” at Aston Villa. His performance has already been impressive to Villa’s fans. So they would probably welcome him with open arms if he decided to stay with Villa.
Not only is Rashford treated better at Aston Villa than he was at Manchester United, but he is also looking forward to returning to the national team.
England is under a new leadership led by Thomas Tuchel, and Rashford wants to impress him to the point where he gets his spot back on the roster. The striker believes that Aston Villa’s Unai Emery would help him achieve that.
According to the publication, if Rashford ended up leaving Manchester United then he would prefer to remain in the Premier League. This could make him more open to staying at Villa.
Rashford’s desire to stay in England might be disappointing to other clubs interested in him. The striker was a possible target for Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain along with Saudi clubs.
In my opinion, the right move for Rashford will be to leave United and stay at Aston Villa. It appears that as long as Amorim is in charge, Rashford won’t be welcomed at his boyhood club.
A coach like Emery could help Rashford improve his form to the point where he is called up to the national team.
After all, any player, and not just Rashford, would be looking forward to participating in the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Manchester United and Amorim might not realize this yet, but they will be losing a good player such as Rashford. On the other hand, Aston Villa would be lucky to have him, especially as he regains his confidence.
