When many think of the name Hulk Hogan, there are quite a few descriptions for him. The two words I commonly use on Hogan is “Pathological Liar.” Hogan has turned lying into an art form with how he manipulates and tells his story. This is Part 2 of the many lies told by Hulk Hogan. If you want to read Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3. So, let’s reflect on the biggest lies he’s told throughout his career.
Here is a doozy. Hulk Hogan was interviewed on Men’s Health Gym & Fridge Podcast and the topic of Alcohol was in discussion. After all in a business where alcohol abuse was common, Hulk made a change regarding no longer drinking alcohol and made a whopper of a claim saying the following.
“I don’t drink alcohol at all,… It got to be a way to numb me a little bit, because I had a bunch of crazy business problems and personal stuff going on,.. And I caught myself after I would train, getting too aggressive with alcohol. So I just had to stop it and no longer be associated with it.”
If that’s the case, then why did you start your Real American Beer brand and was constantly seen drinking beer in public? If you claim to no longer be associated and not drink alcohol at all, why do you do it in public and sell it? If his lips are moving he’s lying. Enjoy that new lawsuit with your beer brand company.
Oh dear, now we get into what occurred with the 2024 election. Now I want to say this, I don’t care about anybody’s politics and I stay away from it as much as possible. It is pretty obvious though that Hulk Hogan is a republican and is a clear-cut Trump supporter. Heck, he even showed up at the RNC and even called Kamala Harris a chameleon in public. Which sounds like a brilliant idea to do knowing his history of racist comments.
Well, Trump eventually won the 2024 election and became the 47th President of the United States of America. Well, Hogan claims that Donald Trump wanted him to run for the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition. The problem with Hogan’s statement is it’s coming from his mouth and no credible source in politics or the media has confirmed this to be the case. So, yet again he’s lying.
The UFC’s first fights occurred in 1993. 1993 was not a good year at all with the Hulkster, not only in his final years with the WWE in his first run, his terrible movies that he claims he wrote (Oh We’ll Get to That). Well, Hogan claimed that he was given an opportunity by Campbell McLaren who was the co-creator of UFC to first fight in their shows. That is 100% Nonsense and the man himself Campbell McLaren publicly called Hogan out on his BS. He tweeted. “I call B******* on Hulk Hogan. I never wanted him in #originalUFC. Who did he talk to? Not me.” I love it when Hogan gets called out on his BS and doesn’t know how to respond or apologize fo him opening his mouth,
Ahh, his John Wayne lie. It’s so idiotic and yet he sounds so serious when talking about the time Paramount wanted to make him the next John Wayne. This was during a time when he was making movies in the mid 90’s and while making those movies he claimed that Bob Evans who was the Head of Paramount, pulled him aside and wanted him to be the next John Wayne. Hogan claimed that Evans had a poster of him in his office and kept pointing at him.
Do you want to know why I know he’s lying? Hogan telling this story said after seeing the schedule, responded with. “I am the wrong guy for that stuff and wanted to return to wrestling”. There it is, that’s how I know he’s lying as in all these lies, he always says, I turned it down because I knew I was not suitable for doing this. He is so magnanimous in every one of these stories.
Let’s stick to the movie industry as Hogan claims his movie. He claims that he rewrote the scripts of his movies, especially No Hold Barred. Vince McMahon did not like the first script of the movie so he and Hogan decided to go to a Florida hotel and for three straight days rewrote the movie from scratch. Yes, with Vince McMahon’s business schedule he specifically took off for 3 days just to do this.
Then he kept going and claimed he rewrote the scripts to Mr. Nanny and Santa With Muscles. However, he only never got credit because of the Writer’s Guild that blocked his writing credit. I don’t believe him at all and why would he even want to take credit for writing these scrub movies?
Mike Tyson is one of the greatest boxers of all time. I mean this man is one of the toughest and best fighters I have ever seen. Although his “fight” with Jake Paul was really sad. Well did you know that Hulk Hogan was planning to fight? He once claimed that there were two times that Hulk Hogan nearly wrestled Mike Tyson. Once was in 1990 for the WWF, while the next was years later in WCW. However Hogan claims, Tyson was timid to fight him. The problem is in 1990, negotiations fell through and WCW, didn’t want to touch him thanks to Tyson biting Evander Holyfield’s ear off. WWE decided to bring him in that attitude era and the rest was history.
Hulk Hogan has told multiple lies over his time and even said stuff involving his son Nick Hogan. You remember Nick Hogan, the absolute piece of work who has so many DUIs that Tammy Sytch would be proud. Heck Nick even got in a bad wreck that left his friend John Graziano in a vegetative state. Yeah, if you look deeper into that situation and his parents talking in it, that family has got full of problems.
Back to the Lie, Hulk was talking about WrestleMania 39 and claimed that the original plan was to do a match between his son Nick Hogan and Shane McMahon. Here is what he said below.
Shane had called me and sent me a picture from Madison Square Garden, I guess they got a hall of fame walk in there. Shane sent me a picture of him standing in front of my stuff and he goes, ‘Hey old timer, you got one more left in you?’ I went, ‘Okay, what are you thinking?’ He goes, ‘Well, I don’t know if you had one more left in you, or maybe a surrogate such as Nick [Hogan].’ So we started talking and I said that the only way I could do anything is if I was in the middle of the ring and you just came to me, because I can’t run or hit the ropes. I have a hard time walking distance. Taking a bump, If I got up I’d have to roll to my left, I can’t roll to my right. The only way I can get up is if I roll to my left. So, it would be a stretch but Nick was in Rikishi’s school for a couple of years and he was in there with Rusev and all of those guys. I’d go out to California and watch him, and Nick had it figured out, but then he blew both of his shoulders out. I said, ‘Well I don’t know. There’s a possibility to maybe do something, whatever the storyline is. Maybe, Nick is a heel and [he says that Shane destroyed his father’s career].’ I don’t know, there’s a million ways to do it but then a couple of weeks later, Shane got hurt or something with his quad.
You want to know why and how I know he’s full of it. Shane McMahon hurt his Quad on WrestleMania 39 facing The Miz. Yet Hogan claims Shane got hurt a few weeks ago and plans changed. The funny thing is that WWE even called him out on his BS too.
This lie got called out during Hulk Hogan’s lawsuit with Gawker. Remember the website that leaked his “Tape” with Bubba the Love Sponge’s wife, during the tapes he claimed the hammer was 10 inches. Well, Hogan was asked under oath about if his size was truly 10 inches and he admitted to lying by saying the following.
“I do not have a 10 inch p****… Terry Bollea’s p**** is not 10 inches… I was totally Hulk Hogan because I wasn’t at my private house”
So, when he’s under character his size is bigger, but when he’s Terry Bollea it isn’t. How the hell does that even make any sense? Oh yeah, this guy lies more than Vince Russo says the word bro in any shoot interview.
This one just happened not a few weeks ago. When the WWE Raw Netflix premiere happened, Hulk Hogan had an appearance where he would talk about his real American beer. He got booed so loud and I loved every bit of it. Heck, the Ringside Rant Crew Live Reacted to the WWE Raw Premiere on Stadium Rant’s YouTube channel.
Hulk Hogan had an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show and claimed that he knew he was going to get booed on the Raw Premiere Show. Why? Well because the last time he was in Los Angeles he was a heel as Hollywood Hulk Hogan. Hulk you were at WrestleMania 21 in LA as a babyface. Go rewatch his entire appearance on the show, he was visibly upset.
In 2009 Hulk Hogan was signed to TNA on a full time basis. Which marked the beginning of the end for the company as Hogan has a big hand towards the decline of the promotion when it was at its peak. When Joining TNA he made a whopper of a statement regarding Vince McMahon. He said the following below
“On going to TNA: “That’s a huge deal for me, man. I never thought that they would bring me in to like the Vince McMahon role with another wrestling company kind of like I did with WCW years back. I actually used to have this same role back in the day, except it was unofficial. Vince’s dad ran the league while I was down here in Minnesota kicking ass with Verne Gagne and when he died, they talked me into coming back. So I came back and found that Vince McMahon, who owns the company now, didn’t really understand the business. So I moved in next door to him in Connecticut and taught him all about lifting weights and riding motorcycles and partying like a mad man; and then I taught him about the wrestling business and making money. And now I’m doing that again with TNA Wrestling.”
I can count 5 lies immediately with that statement. Especially for the fact that he was the man who taught him how to run a professional wrestling business. No Hulk, Vince’s father Vincent J McMahon taught him the business and brought him in at the age of 12. Vince was already in charge when you joined in your second tenure with WWE in 1983 and knew the business.
The problem with a bulls*** artist is that you don’t know when the bulls*** stops and when the truth begins. That is Hulk Hogan every time he opens his mouth. The worst part is that there are so many more lies that this man has told that this article could be done multiple more times as he is the gift that keeps on giving. He’s made lying into an art form and its not even a joke.
