As the 2025 MLB season is ready to kick off, these three players are ready to make 2025 their redemption year after battling injuries and going through a down year. These MLB stars will look to get back on track and remind fans and analysts who they are. Get ready for a full season of amazing performances from these three players.

Bo Bichette, SS, Toronto Blue Jays

Bo Bichette is set for a major bounce-back season in 2025, after an injury-riddled 2024 season in which he slashed .225/.227/.322, all career lows for him. At his peak, he has showcased that he is among the best shortstops in the league. During his first 5 years in the MLB, he slashed an impressive .298/.343./.484. with 87 home runs, 301 RBIs, and 60 stolen bases. Bichette’s ability to drive the ball and produce extra-base hits and solid plate discipline make him a key contributor in the Blue Jays’ lineup.

This will be a crucial year for him since it’s a contract year, and MLB teams will want to see if he can still produce at a high level. If he stays healthy, expect him to regain his elite status in the game and set himself up to be a key trade piece for a contending team or even a major payday in free agency during the winter of 2025 with teams looking to add an elite middle infielder.

Jacob deGrom, SP, Texas Rangers

Jacob deGrom is poised for a bounce-back year in 2025 after dealing with a tough stretch that included Tommy John surgery in 2023 that cut his season short and having to miss most of the 2024 season due to rehabbing the injury. From 2018-2022 deGrom was the most dominant pitcher in the MLB posting a sensational 2.05 ERA, 1,155 strikeouts, and a 0.97 WHIP over 762 innings to go along with that he would go on to win consecutive NL CY Young Awards in 2018-2019. His dominance started to spark comparisons among fans and analysts to that of MLB Hall of Fame pitcher Pedro Martinez.

DeGrom would return late in the 2024 season, making his long-awaited debut on September 13th against the Seattle Mariners, where he would strike out 4 and pitch 3.2 scoreless innings. DeGrom would make two more starts and display flashes of his old self in those starts, showing off his high-end velocity and his unhittable slider. The Texas Rangers will be optimistic about their playoff chances with deGrom leading the pitching staff throughout the season. With deGrom, the Rangers are among MLB’s elite teams. If deGrom stays healthy, he will be a major contender for the AL CY Young Award and again be amongst the best in the MLB.

Luis Robert Jr, CF, Chicago White Sox

Luis Robert Jr. is a prime candidate to bounce back in 2025. He has struggled with injuries throughout his MLB career especially in 2024 which was very frustrating when he would go on to only play 100 games after having a career-best 145 games in 2023, during which he slashed .264/.315/.542, along with a 5.3 WAR 38 home runs 80 RBIs, and his first career MLB All-Star nod. During the off-season, many MLB teams were interested in trading for the talented center fielder the closet team was the Cincinnati Reds, but a deal could not come to fruition between both the White Sox and the Reds due to the high price set by White Sox General Manager Chris Getz.

Luis Robert Jr. will be the subject of many trade rumors throughout the season especially with many MLB teams in contention looking to add an impactful player with multiple years of controllability. Luis Robert Jr has shown significant signs of a bounce-back in spring training thus far slashing .277/.378/.489, you can see that this is a different player from the past year as he looks very motivated to reach the level he was once at. If he stays healthy expect him to showcase his 5-tool skillset and reach his all-star form once again in the upcoming 2025 MLB season.

End Of My MLB Rant

Baseball is a game of redemption, and in 2025 these three MLB stars Bo Bichette, Jacob deGrom, and Luis Robert Jr. are determined to bounce back in a big way. Bichette coming off a season that included a mix of injuries and inconsistency at the plate is poised for an elite season once again. deGrom who has experienced many setbacks now remains one of the most feared pitchers in the game and will continue to be so as long his health allows him to be. Luis Robert Jr with his unique skillset of Power, speed and elite defense just needs to stay healthy and make adjustments at the plate to be a more consistent player.
