The Philadelphia Eagles will face off against the Tennessee Titans in their week two matchup. They are coming off a victory over the Washington Commanders in week one. Here are the three biggest questions that Philadelphia will look to answer on Sunday.

Can The Eagles Get Saquon And The Running Game Going?

The Eagles appeared to struggle on the ground last week against the Washington Commanders, but a lot of that can be attributed to the poor play from the interior offensive line. Landon Dickerson was clearly injured, and he was placed on IR shortly after the game.

Saquon Barkley had 83 rushing yards, 82 yards after contact, on 15 carries in their week one win. His 5.5 yards per carry was boosted by a 42-yard burst.

This should be a pretty simple task against a poor Titans team. They allowed 152 rushing yards against the New York Jets in week one, facing 39 rushing attempts. The plan should be simple: run the ball and gas out their defense. It’s the same strategy that the Jets used to pick up their win.

Saquon isn’t the only running back likely to be involved, however. He only played 71% of the snaps last week, leaving opportunities for Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley to get on the field. They won’t see many chances, but it’s important to capitalize when they get them.

Can Cooper DeJean Bounce Back?

Cooper DeJean really struggled against Washington and specifically Stefon Diggs. It could be argued that it was the worst game of his NFL career.

Jayden Daniels went 7-for-9 when targeting DeJean, throwing for 83 yards and a 142.1 rating. DeJean allowed five first downs and 30 yards after the catch. An unacceptable performance from the talented corner.

The Eagles will need to have DeJean bounce back against Wandale Robinson and the Titans. It’s a tough matchup for someone coming off such a poor performance.

The good news is that the Eagles secondary looked really good on the outside. Quinyon Mitchell and Riq Woolen were nearly perfect against Washington. They just need DeJean to step up.

How Does Makai Lemon Look In Week 2?

Makai Lemon is a very interesting player when watching the Eagles offense. It’s hard to get a sense of what they actually want him to be.

It appears they want him to be a guy who makes the first man miss and can create after the catch, hence all the throws behind the line of scrimmage and screen plays. That just doesn’t seem like his game, especially right now in the early stages of his career.

Lemon is more of a possession receiver who can sit down in space and make things work. Sean Mannion has clearly been finding ways to get the ball in Lemon’s hands; they just need to be more productive.

Dontayvion Wicks has been a great find for the Eagles since coming over from the Green Bay Packers, so there’s really no rush for Lemon to find his rhythm. The rookie can take his time, but it would be nice to see some receptions for positive yardage come in week two.
