These are the 2026 fantasy football first-round rankings for a 12-team, PPR, redraft fantasy football league. Thanks to Sleeper for the mock draft tool and player statistics.
1) WR Puka Nacua – Los Angeles Rams

Los Angeles Rams’ wide receiver Puka Nacua has been consistent and predictable for three seasons now. He’s reliable for eight touchdowns per 17 games played, conservatively, and averaged 12.5 yards per reception in his worst year.
It may be intangible, but the Rams came five points shy of the Super Bowl last year; they couldn’t be hungrier after that appetizer. Management feels the same way and has gone all in on the tail end of quarterback Matthew Stafford’s career. There’s potential that the offense could be on the field even more this upcoming season. With acquisitions like linebacker Myles Garrett and rumors of Aaron Donald returning to join him, the defense may give up even fewer first downs.
2) WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba – Seattle Seahawks
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba’s production hasn’t been as evenly spread as Nacua’s, but it has been steadily increasing. He’s also played 17 games in each of his three seasons, making him a reliable source. Smith-Njigba has solidified himself as “the guy.” A regression to a 2024 performance still keeps him in the first-round discussion. If fantasy managers average out his production over the last two seasons, one could expect at least 150 targets and eight touchdowns.
3) RB Jahmyr Gibbs – Detroit Lions

After finishing as RB1 and RB3 the last two years, the Detroit Lions stated plans to lean on running back Jahmyr Gibbs even harder this season. Sleeper reports head coach Dan Campbell giving him the “bell cow” moniker. “We’re gonna hang our hat on him,” said Campbell. A top ten running back his whole career, Gibbs is now the clear number one for the Lions, ahead of Isiah Pacheco.
4) RB Bijan Robinson – Atlanta Falcons
After the Atlanta Falcons received criticism for under-utilizing rookie running back Bijan Robinson in 2023, they’ve fed him a more predictable diet the past couple of years. Robinson brings extra value in PPR formats, and he’s played in all 17 games per season since entering the league. Managers can expect around 300 rushes, along with about 80 targets as a receiver. Double-digit combined touchdowns are likely a safe expectation in these 2026 fantasy football first-round rankings.
5) WR Ja’Mar Chase – Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Mar Chase may have a ceiling above the rest, but the precise production is difficult to project. Within that variance, however, he is still a no-brainer first-round pick in these 2026 fantasy football first-round rankings. Despite ten additional targets, Chase’s touchdowns were more than half erased, going from 17 to 8. With an embarrassing defense, however, the Bengals are destined to launch the ball to their WR1.
6) RB Christian McCaffrey – San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey could be placed anywhere on this list; it just depends on the importance given to injury risk. Sleeper reports that any load management would be taken from practice and that McCaffrey plans to play every snap. To his credit, he played 17 games last season after participating in just four the year prior. Health permitting, he should tally fantasy managers double-digit TDs on the ground, while tallying around another seven through the air.
7) WR Amon-Ra St. Brown – Detroit Lions

There may not be another receiver with the steady floor and predictability of Detroit Lions Amon-Ra St. Brown. WR3 for three consecutive seasons, St. Brown racked up 11 touchdowns per 17 games over that span. Furthermore, he’s had no fewer than 115, but no greater than 119 receptions in any of those years. He also acquired between 1,263 and 1,515 receiving yards per season over that time.
8) WR Justin Jefferson – Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson had a frustrating 2025-26 season, which included a career-low 201.5 fantasy points. Jefferson may slip in some leagues, so keep an eye out. He was still WR2 the season prior, and a top-six receiver in four of his six years in the league. While there’s still no elite gunslinger on the roster, an increase in production is almost inevitable in these 2026 fantasy football first-round rankings.
9) WR CeeDee Lamb – Dallas Cowboys
The floor and ceiling for Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb have had relatively wide variance over the years. Lamb was WR1 in 2023, surpassing 400 fantasy points, but he’s also been WR19-22 for half of his six-year career. Having played a career-low 14 games last season, increased production is likely. Adding to the fantasy riddle in these 2026 fantasy football first-round rankings, he’s totaled just nine touchdowns over his last 28 games.
10) TE Trey McBride – Arizona Cardinals

Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride is a 300-fantasy-point contender, and other managers will be desperate for the positional value. He’s going to ballpark 150 targets, and he emerged as a true red-zone threat last season for these 2026 fantasy football first-round rankings. The Cardinals’ quarterback room has a low ceiling, and they are destined to lean on McBride underneath.
11) RB Derrick Henry – Baltimore Ravens
Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry defies logic in many ways. Despite minimal usage in the pass game, his steady production makes him a first-round selection. Henry flip-flopped as RB4 or RB8 for four consecutive seasons, getting an average of 318 touches for 14 touches per year. Additionally, he continues to laugh in the face of Father Time. Now 32, he sat just one game over the aforementioned time period.
12) RB Jonathan Taylor – Indianapolis Colts
Last season’s RB1 dropping to RB5 may seem harsh, but take a closer look. Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor may have single-handedly brought managers to the playoffs last year. His production, however, came back to earth after Week Ten. Taylor averaged a dreamy 27.39 FPPG in those opening weeks, but fell to, while still start-worthy, 12.63 FPPG thereafter. Somewhere between 2024 and 2025 puts him in the neighborhood of 300 FPTS for the year, and worthy of late first, or early second, consideration.
